There was a dream that was Europe...
Europe's fate is sealed.

France and Germany will now utterly dominate the continent and push greater integration. Macron ran on a platform of "total" integration, pushing it even in the last debate with Le Pen. The globalists have successfully imposed their will on Italy and Greece through austerity. Nationalist efforts in Austria and the Netherlands have failed.

As the migrant crisis intensifies, more power will be given to the central authorities to deal with the problems that arise. But as we've seen, they'll punish white Europeans and hide the nature of the problem. The Islamization of Europe will continue and within 100 years the flower that was Western civilization will be dead.

The economic disaster brought on by Marxism, the welfare state, globalism, and welfare for tens of millions of immigrants will emerge within the next 25-50 years. European culture and institutions will not be able to cope with the impending collapse.

Britain has checked out. It will be a bloody battle over the next two years, but all signs show the Conservatives will sweep the general election in June and they'll secure a "hard Brexit." Even if Britain has to pay 50+ billion euros, Britain will be fine.

The future now falls to Eastern Europe. Not to save Europe, but to get themselves the hell out before the collapse occurs. Poland, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, etc - it's now on you get out of Europe, align with Russia, and block the influx of refugees and migrants to your nations.

Turkey is rising, and as Muslims continue to spread to Europe the country's influence will grow. This will likely trigger another Greco-Turkish war this century, which in turn will require Europe and NATO to respond. Trying to predict the specifics are silly, but the Aegean will increasingly become a pressure point as Turkey radicalizes and Greece is swept away by refugees.

Europe - it was nice knowing ya. But c'est la vie.

Re: There was a dream that was Europe...
5 facts about the Muslim population in Europe

1. As of 2010, there were 4.8 million Muslims in Germany (5.8% of the country’s population) and 4.7 million Muslims in France (7.5%).

2. In recent decades, the Muslim share of the population throughout Europe grew about 1 percentage point a decade, from 4% in 1990 to 6% in 2010. This pattern is expected to continue through 2030, when Muslims are projected to make up 8% of Europe’s population.

3. In 2010, the median age of Muslims throughout Europe was 32, eight years younger than the median for all Europeans (40). By contrast, the median age of religiously unaffiliated people in Europe, including atheists, agnostics and those with no religion in particular, was 37. The median age of European Christians was 42.

4. Views of Muslims vary widely across European countries, being higher in Eastern Europe than in Western.

5. As of 2010, the European Union was home to about 13 million Muslim immigrants.

Europe’s fear of Muslim immigration revealed in widespread survey

The Chatham House Royal Institute of International Affairs carried out the survey, asking online respondents their views on the statement that "all further migration from mainly Muslim countries should be stopped".

Over the 10 European countries surveyed, an average of 55 percent agreed with the statement. 25 percent neither agreed nor disagreed, while only one in five respondents felt Muslim immigration should continue.

Poland was the country most in favor of a ban on Muslim immigration with 71 percent of respondents agreeing with the statement. Austria was close behind with 65 percent.

Re: There was a dream that was Europe...
European debt crisis

The European debt crisis (often also referred to as the Eurozone crisis or the European sovereign debt crisis) is a multi-year debt crisis that has been taking place in the European Union since the end of 2009. Several eurozone member states (Greece, Portugal, Ireland, Spain and Cyprus) were unable to repay or refinance their government debt or to bail out over-indebted banks under their national supervision without the assistance of third parties like other Eurozone countries, the European Central Bank (ECB), or the International Monetary Fund (IMF).

The detailed causes of the debt crisis varied. In several countries, private debts arising from a property bubble were transferred to sovereign debt as a result of banking system bailouts and government responses to slowing economies post-bubble. The structure of the eurozone as a currency union (i.e., one currency) without fiscal union (e.g., different tax and public pension rules) contributed to the crisis and limited the ability of European leaders to respond.[3][4] European banks own a significant amount of sovereign debt, such that concerns regarding the solvency of banking systems or sovereigns are negatively reinforcing.[5]

As concerns intensified in early 2010 and thereafter,[6][7] leading European nations implemented a series of financial support measures such as the European Financial Stability Facility (EFSF) and European Stability Mechanism (ESM). The ECB also contributed to solve the crisis by lowering interest rates and providing cheap loans of more than one trillion euro in order to maintain money flows between European banks. On 6 September 2012, the ECB calmed financial markets by announcing free unlimited support for all eurozone countries involved in a sovereign state bailout/precautionary programme from EFSF/ESM, through some yield lowering Outright Monetary Transactions (OMT).[8]

Return to economic growth and improved structural deficits enabled Ireland and Portugal to exit their bailout programmes in July 2014. Greece and Cyprus both managed to partly regain market access in 2014. Spain never officially received a bailout programme. Its rescue package from the ESM was earmarked for a bank recapitalization fund and did not include financial support for the government itself.

The crisis had significant adverse economic effects and labour market effects, with unemployment rates in Greece and Spain reaching 27%,[9] and was blamed for subdued economic growth, not only for the entire eurozone, but for the entire European Union. As such, it can be argued to have had a major political impact on the ruling governments in 10 out of 19 eurozone countries, contributing to power shifts in Greece, Ireland, France, Italy, Portugal, Spain, Slovenia, Slovakia, Belgium and the Netherlands, as well as outside of the eurozone, in the United Kingdom.

Agreed, but with Le Pen and the elections in Austria and the Netherlands, there was at least the hope that the tyranny of the European Commission might be fought.

Now, that hope is gone. Britain freed itself literally just in time.

Typical problem solution paradigm that liberals create.

1. Create the problem -- maurading bands of muslims
2. Ancillary short sighted solution - locked in votes
3. Resultant Problem - countries on brink of civil war
4. Solution- permanent state of emergency, increased police powers, larger more powerful central government, erosion of individual rights, induction to socialism

This is what your liberal democracies end with. Police state socialism. You can bank on it,

Goodnight Europe is was a good century.
