adaptation is changes within a species. Evolution, the theory, states that species change into one another. Can't happen. Won't happen. A fish will never turn into a bird no matter how long you wait. Speciation is the reason why there are so many finches. Mutations in separated populations cause them to become new species, so they will forever become more and more different over time. Finches have been on the islands for millions of years. So they have been adapting to the changing environments for millions of years. Many species of the finches have come and gone.

How is passing on epigenetic instructions not evolution? Has anyone else noticed that animals are getting smarter and unsafe aid of humans? The existence of humans is making the other species smarter. It's a selection process. The smarter animals avoid getting killed by humans and even obtain food from humans through theft or handouts. These animals are the ones that reproduce and pass on the smart genes. Bears or raccoons are going to take the place of humans once we wipe ourselves out. Did we wipe out the Neanderthals or did they wipe themselves out, and we adopted their technology?

ADAPTATION IS EVOLUTION. There is nothing else. That is all evolution is, adaptation. Adaptation causes speciation in separated populations, creating new species. If you keep adapting/changing something it will keep becoming more and more different to the original.
