Good luck bro. My advice is find something you can do well and do it for yourself. Start small and build on that. Sucks to start with but it was the best choice I made thus far.

Well I don't think GLP is going to want you sitting at home all day on welfare

My life has been nothing but chaos ever since... well I can't say where it all started, but after last November, things have changed drastically, and they continue to do so.

I love it.

Contrary to the opinions of some of the jackoffs here on GLP, I actually retired. It was quick, and without a lot of notice to the company. It was a quit, except that they could not deny me my pension benefits that I had amassed over the years. With all of that being said, congratulations Jeff. It may take a few weeks, but the peace of mind that you will begin to experience takes a while to settle in. I've been off the job for 5 weeks today, and it still feels a little weird not punching that clock everyday. Hang in, it will be good.

I love doing in-house commercials and product development stuff.

Most of my experience is posters and promotion short term sites.. mostly for bands and models.

Did some fun projects for interfaces.. Google sites..

But it's always the same. My background is business to business finance manufacturing and marketing.

Good money... But you never feel appreciated "giving' it away.. and there's always the burn when you "hand it over".. you were just the data entry... They reign as your engineer and creativity.

Might be time.. to open your own shop

Starting our own business was the best decision and scariest we ever made.

I've found myself at that crossroads.

I just want to design and build.

I quit my job and had a new one within the week. And recently left that one for a better one.

Yea, I knew this when I did it, but I'm 51 and looking to maximize my effort.

Why would you say that? You know jack shit about me, or my work. I was the oldest worker who held my job title in 4 states(that my local covered). I worked over 43 years in an all weather, on call 24/7 work environment. I have trained the last 11 persons hired to do my type of work. My avocation was considerably more advanced than that which you are accustomed to. Those who have my skills are not prone to sudden terminations, such as burger flippers or adult toy store workers like you.
