Moreover, McCabe went on to confirm that no agents have been removed from the Russia probe and that no one from the White House had contacted him about the ongoing investigation.

If Comey and McCabe lied under oath then it is them who committed the crime as they have a duty to report obstruction.

What is laughable is the view that Comey is the only one investigating. The FBI investigates, the director manages and forwarda such info. If the manager of a bank gets hit by a bus does your money dissappear? If the maanger of a restarant gets fired does it stop serving food? No. The job still gets done.

It was a specific question with a specific answer. Nowhere does this mention Trump. The question was about the AG or top brass at the DOJ, and the answer was that neither of them asked to halt any investigation for political purposes.

He said the DOJ did not ask him to halt the investigation. Never mentioned the POTUS since the question was about the DOJ.

Comey is screwed either way. These people do not know when to keep their pie holes shut

Comey was also bound by law to report any attempt at obstruction of justice he was aware of. Which of course he never did report because it never happened. A personal memo of Trump saying "Hope you can see that this thing blows over" does not fit that criteria. And never will.

Comey will now be asked under oath if he thought that such a comment did amount to a willful obstruction of justice and he'll be in the position of either saying yes or no. If he says yes, then he's in the position of explaining why he didn't report it at the time. Either way, he's got no case.
