Just for comparison OP:
If you pay 1000 dollars a month rent for 30 years you will have paid your landlord 360,000 dollars and you own nothing.

You'll be getting suckered into paying inflated interest money while barely touching your principle, all for a house that you don't actually own, seeing how you pay property taxes on it.
