Are Christianity and Taoism compatible?

Tao knows human spirit(uality). Few Christians know the Spirit of God.

Dont ask others to tell you what you can and cannot believe or what is or isnt compatible. If it works for you and produces good results then it is. Period.

I find Christianity to be incompatible with anything other than other make believe nonsense. It is not compatible with republicanism, or science. I would say no it is not compatible with Taoism as Taoism understands the Yin and Yang. Christianity is all Yang no yin. It is too one sided and not based in anything real.

I read your opinion but you haven't told me why. Taoism isn't a religion. It is a philosophy.

It is an explanation of life... the movements and rhythms.

I was eating dinner alone in a restaurant once and reading a version of the Tao. A gift from a bonafide Asian Tai Chi master. The waitress walked up and asked what I was reading, I told her and she said "yeah, but don't let that crap take you away from The Lord".

I told her not to worry and still left a decent tip. That's what I felt both a Bible and the Tao would "teach". I just left her and her preachy attitude behind in the restaurant and whistled on down the road.

I would say yes there are truths in Christianity, but as a whole Christianity is not truth. It can be for a time, a subjective truth at the individual level. Many get stuck in this. I try to dissolve ego as such I tend to speak at a more societal level than personal.
