I had one of those frozen meat companies calling me everyday. I called them and asked to be removed and they said there was no way to do it.

So I got their fax number and faxed them black pieces of paper. I had blocked my number but forgot that the fax machine is programmed with my business information and it must've came out on the header of the fax.

They called my business and said I was using up their toner and they were going to file harassment charges against me. lol

Somehow they never called me again.

Just get them on and say can you hold for a minute..set the phone down..walk away for 5-10 minutes..they will be gone

They're getting smart about answering machines too. They ring twice then hang up. Sometimes they leave a dial tone on the machine. I have a call blocker on my phone. It won't work until they start leaving a message. Telemarketers hang up before the answering machine starts.

Block their numbers. They use an array, so it takes a while sometimes to block them all. But eventually your phone will stop ringing so much.

Do Not Call List

Get on it.

Most of the annoying calls will go away.

Don't have time for that.

When they start talking, cut them off and say who are you and what do you want. When they start answering tell them they are on a recorded line. When they jump back into their script, say hey don't jump back into your script were having a friendly conversation here. When they get confused state that you feal bad that this was the only job that would hire them and to not feel like a piece of cap every day that life can only get better from here.

Do not call list has a 30 day wait, telemarketers get the numbers off of it and bug you for the first 30 days.

The telemarketers have two important telephone number lists.

One is the sucker's list. You're called because they think you're a sucker and they can get money from you. If you're on a sucker's list you're going to be getting a lot of calls.

The other is the fuck3rs list. These are people who f uck about with them. You get onto this list by stringing them along. Not 'oh, I pretended to be French' or whatever, so that you're off the line laughing after 20 seconds. They love that because you've gone and they can ring up another sucker. No, you've got to string them along for as long as possible, generally hours per company. When they've worked out that you're a fuck3r they put you onto their fuck3r's list and sell it to others, so that they also can avoid you. You won't be called again.

Amazingly, numbers on the fuck3r's list are more valuable (to sell) than numbers on the sucker's list.

[I work in the field. For professional reasons I put myself onto sucker's lists and then see how long it takes to get onto the fucker's list.]

Even if they have 30 days, after that it should be smoother sailing. The robo calls generally instantly stop when they update their calling lists a few times a week.

If you just hang up on them they will keep calling back, since they are not really losing any money on a quick call to you.

If you waist 10-20 minutes of their time where they could have been calling other people, they are much more likely to stop calling you.

When telemarketers call my house and I answer I tell them they are better off talking to my wife and tell them I'll get her on the line, then I just lay the phone down and do nothing. Every couple of minutes I'll pick up the phone and say that my wife will be "right there", just to keep them waiting longer. After waiting for about 10 minutes, they eventually hang up.

Some window place called about replacement windows for my home. I told them we didn't have any windows, that I live in a subterranean bunker waiting.

"Mr Number" is a free app on the Play store, and it works really good, I think they put everyone numbers that are reported as spam and load it in the program so it constantly updates, and automatically blocks spam numbers. It has an International setting, but it blocks local numbers, so leave that setting off.

You know what happens when the list is violated? You fill out a report online, then nothing happens.


Unless you get a lawyer and document it all you get nothing, and they keep pestering you.
