My elderly grandparents are getting calls from people my gram calls "drug pushers". They are in some foreign country and they never call from the same number twice and their number shows up as a us city all the time.

They keep insisting my gram bought drugs from them. The other day she banged a pot in their ear, they still called back. Gramps blew a whistle in their ear, they still called back. It's a landline phone and phone company told grandparents they could do nothing about it.

NOthing's gonna stop them. I know several guys that "work the phones" in boiler rooms around here. There are lots of them. Timeshares and fly and buys and shit, this is timeshare central around here. We use these guys to swindle chumps into special deals that includes their HAVING to come to our bullshit timeshare presentation.

Even if they take you off their list, there are THOUSANDS of lists, and you're on all of them. They BUY these lists.

Sometimes THEY even get bored, and they will fuck with YOU. If you waste their time, you're wasting your own time. Just hang up on them. They just click to the next name on a list of thousands.

My favorite is when the telemarketers call for Duct Cleaning.

I get a lot of confused questions, some hangups and once in a while they play along.
