Thanks Chef...I'll give this a try on Sunday. The 8oz of beef base...is that Beef bullion or broth? The #10 cans...how many oz can is that? In order to cut things by 1/4, I'll have to convert to metric then figure it out. Quoting: Citizen1111 #10 is 10lbs Base is base There's is all kinds of base If you ask for it they should have it If for some reason you can't find it Use bullion Quoting: Anonymous Coward 72036384 #10 cans is not 10 lbs. You can google the amounts of various foods in #10 cans. I would go with about 6 cans of regular 14.5 oz size cans of tomatoes and 6 cans of beans per #10 can. Also 1 cup of dried beans equals about 4 cans of beans.
