3 Teenager steal car and kill 6 year old in the backset

After midnight - Mom takes her kid WITH her to go shopping. Why? Does she work all day? Does she have NO ONE to leave the kid with, and rather than leave him home alone, this is the least objectionable option?

Why leave him in the car? He's sleeping, and he WILL sleep through till she comes back....was the car locked? Did she assume he'd be fine and sleep the whole time. She probably had done it in the past.

I'm not going to pile on with the HEAT IN THE CAR issue because it WAS midnight....

I'll just end with this statement:
Most of you would have VILIFIED HER if she'd aborted him. Here''s a mom trying to do the best she could, and apparently - according to you judgmental SOB's - it's still not enough.

Would *I* have left my kid in the seat of a car and go into a store and shop? I hope not. But we really don't know what led her to think this was the best choice she could make.

This was a tragedy. Nothing more.

The mom exits the store at 2:30 am and tells a deputy her CAR is missing, but does not say her son was in it until later. Amber Alert issued st 4:30 am.

The first thing out of her mouth should have been that her SON was in the car.

There are rumors coming out that mom left the kid in the car while at a bar, and the kid found a gun and shot himself. Then mom commandeered a couple of friends to help her cover it up.

I have no idea if true, and partly believe that this could be media spin to cover for the dispicable nature of those involved, so we don't all rise up and begin to eliminate them from society, but that info is out there (and plausible).

Ebony Archie left her son, Kingston Frazier, asleep in a running Toyota Camry while she stepped into a Kroger grocery store not long after midnight on Thursday, law enforcement authorities said. In the time she was away, a silver Honda Civic pulled up and someone took the car with the boy still in the back seat.

The article says an Amber Alert was put out at 4:30 a.m.

If it was put out at anytime near the time the car was stolen, it means the mother was out with her six-year-old son around 4 a.m. in the morning.

It seems like a lot of crime gets committed around that time of day, which is a time when people are generally asleep in bed. Not many people out at that time of day, yet it seems like a lot of those who are making the rounds are criminals.

Probably best that a mother not be going to the store at 4 a.m. for a lot of reasons even if the Hot Pockets and the 40's are on sale.

How about being a responsible parent and not leaving your child alone in car unattended?

Also, assuming it was a warm and/or hot day, not smart on many levels. Bad parenting leads to bad outcomes.

OMG.....the low functioning idiots didn't realize there is a HUGE difference in stealing a car and murder?.....they could have just left the kid on the roadside....

Come on? Then top it off that she didn't mention that part to the police? She is a worthless human. I have ZERO sympathy for her.

The car was stolen at 1AM. It took that long for the good mother to tell the cops that her kid was in the car. I can vouch for the timing on the amber alert as it woke me up.

Yes, and the amber alert was for a 2000 Grey Toyota.
