It says right there just after midnight. How could a kid overheat.
Not that it's any better. Just saying, read more before you speculate.

Here''s a mom trying to do the best she could, and apparently - according to you judgmental SOB's - it's still not enough. Would *I* have left my kid in the seat of a car and go into a store and shop? I hope not. But we really don't know what led her to think this was the best choice she could make. This was a tragedy. Nothing more. Slooooowwww down. She didn't report that the kid was in the car for quite a while. ALSO, it's Jackson MS. You don't leave a fucking nickle in your car if you ever want to see it again much less a KID. I'll agree with this, Darth. It's not an excuse for her actions. But let's make another assumption, shall we? Maybe the mom was afraid she'd lose her kid to the "system" if they found out she'd left him alone in the car. I am in *NO WAY* making excuses for her, saying she did nothing wrong. I'm just trying to look at it from a little different perspective. Maybe she truly didn't have any other options, and then when the unthinkable happened, she just felt backed into a corner and didn't know what to do, or say. Still tragic. Still lots of "victims." I don't think she should face jail time for anything for how this happened.... After all, she wasn't in a BAR with her baby asleep in the car, right? She was BUYING GROCERIES for him. I'm actually not getting on her for leaving the kid in the car... Unlocked mind you. Let's let that go. The issue is that not only did she do that... IN JACKSON, MS, but when the car was stolen she didn't say shit about her kid being in said stolen car for a significant amount of time. The car was stolen around 1:00 - 1:30 ish? My phone went off from the amber alert hours later when the cops were told about the kid. Let's give some lag time for cops to relay info and the alert to be sent out. Let's give a lot of time. Say an hour... That's 3:30. Two hours. Everything else aside.. All of the dipshit stuff she did previous out the window... What MOTHER decides not to mention her kid is in the car? Edit to add my phone went off around 4:00 - 4:30, and went off numerous times up until about 6:30ish.
