Yet, the earth's path around the sun can change.

Axis in relation to Sun, yes change.

Axis in relation to stars... no change.

BS the North Star changes throughout the precession of the equinoxes the last one 5000 years ago was Thuban and the next one is Errai and their are many others throughout the cycle.

Try and learn the basics before you bring your crap here.

In my mind i was asking, "Why are the Eskimos saying the earth has tilted on it's axis, while star gazers say it isn't so."

The Earth is staying with the pointing north to the north star, but the path around the sun is changing.

you do realize if the earth was spinning and tilted and its axis changed, allowing the arctic to receive higher elevations, that the antarchtic would have to receive lower elevations. this is simply not the case.

HOWEVER.

if the sun was spinning around an oscillating cylindrical orbit INSIDE a concave earth and the northern end was getting higher elevation, the southern end would need not have to change.

Dearest Impolite: I'm talking about the shift lately where the eskimos say the sun is rising higher, while the earth is remaining pointing at the north star according to nasea.

I am going to build a flying machine so awesome that everyone wants one. I will be the richest person in the world. I will hire people to go through who was rude to me, and find them and question them live on the news.

You do realise the Sun isn't unique to eskimos we can all see it and if it was different everyone would be saying it.

and of course you do realize if the earth was spinning and its axis tilted it would affect BOTH the north star as well as the sun's elevation.

you just confirmed heliocentricity is false, thanks.

The reason they notice it is because they are higher up north where they do say for sure the sun is rising higher than it was before.

I think there's something to this.

The NORTH STAR has been different stars throughout history

Not a defined star

Polaris is replaced by a different star according to some- checking for some links now - try Wiki as can't post this device

Re: the Earth can spin and have the north star as it's proof that it is spinning same same, as always direction of axis, not change...
Ok, I have real proof the axis is tilting on the earth to stars alignment.
2 years ago I took a 1 hour photo in August of the North Star and the spinning stars around it. yes, you have seen that picture around the net. well, that photo showed the North star fixed in the center with no rotation at all.
sooo, I took the same distance and duration picture tonight "August" and the axis has leaned over a few degrees to the West now! The North star is tracking in a circle around a new center point... I tested a few shots with the same results.

I think this is causing the change in weather patterns and the entire Earth is reeking havoc from it. if it takes 25,000 years to get a 23 degree axis back around, what gives with this 2 year change?
