Please explain bitcoin to us.
Is it a dollar per dollar? Or how much would a dollar from PayPal purchase?

How else is bitcoin obtained?
Can you hold or transfer bitcoin into cash?

Why does bitcoin value fluctuate?
Does it fluctuate daily, weekly, monthly, hourly?

Where does it originate?

Can it be transferred into my bank account?
Do I need a bank a special "bitcoin" account?

Is there a minimum investment to buy bitcoin? If so what is it?

Thanks in advance for your help.
If I bought $500 bitcoin could I lose it all or would it simply fluctuate.

It's like monopoly money, just as fake and ultimately valueless, only digital. Come to think of it, it is also just like the stuff the central banks create out of thin air.

They say Bitcoin will always be rare because only so many can ever be made but.......they just start a new one with a different name and start the process all over again. This digital money will not be "rare" as it will be manufactured or "mined" into infinity under different names.

If I bought a CD it would be at my credit union. I have thought about investing in physical gold but I haven't much liquid.

It's a highly speculative investment that exists solely because of supply/demand.

Historically, it's been doing really well, with peaks and valleys like you would expect from any highly speculative investment.

$1000 invested 7 years ago would mean you would roughly have about $400,000 today if you simply bought and held.

For people looking for an anonymous way to transfer/receive payment it's the preferred payment method.

I don't think it's going anywhere soon. But I do believe we'll see significant price fluctuations this year.

One of the other crypto-currencies like Etherium (ETH) might be a better option for a buy and hold scenario at this point and time.

If you have a spare $500 maybe give it a try.

Kind of like Federal Reserve Notes....

Poof! Out of thin air.

The benefit to crypto-currency is it's anonymous nature and it's lack of central controls and regulation.

Re: Please explain bitcoin to us.
LOL!
These shill attempts are laughable. I have been mining cryptocurrencies since 2012. I have accumulated bitcoin ever since. I have also converted much of it into gold and silver. Now I mine as a hobby. I am already a bitcoin millionaire. Soon to be multi-millionaire. Do not think for a minute that your bad-mouthing bitcoin will change that. There are groups of people who understood the value of decentralized currency and are just now beginning to be rewarded for it. We innovators hope that many of you potential early-adopters share in our vision but we realize that most of you will stay huddled in the herd and follow the other poor sheep. Your choice.

Re: Please explain bitcoin to us.
If it goes away, you have no recourse at all in reclaiming your money. Bitcoin is probably the TEST RUN for a GLOBAL DIGITAL CURRENCY before the Globalists unleash the real digital currency.
