But I know what you mean. I was in New Orleans some years back before I started doing genealogy. While I did find, and go to, a street that bears my family name, what I DIDN'T know was that during the 3 weeks my hubby and I lazily flitted about in the city, I had walked on, drove past, and hung around the very same streets where I later found my dad's family had lived, worked, played...besides the cemetery where they're all interred in THE family crypt.

One day I'll go back, but what a missed opportunity that was finding out.
