Step son drowned on kayaking trip. Prayers needed please!!!

He was 28 years old and his friend was found upside down, drowned, still in his kayak and was discovered Sunday

But, my step son (ex) wasn't not found until this morning. The last two days have been awful with the divers and the dragging etc and at least we have our answers.

There were two kayaks. They found the life vest and kayak of step son, but no body until 8:15 am this morning they think he was trying to save his friend, Tyler that drowned as well.

I believe in the power of prayer so that isnwhy I am posting this. I am not looking for sympathy or negativity of any kind.

GREEN CAMP - A Marion man drowned Monday and another man is missing after a kayaking incident on the Scioto River.

The drowning was discovered about 7:52 p.m. in the 2000 block of Prospect-Upper Sandusky Road at a lowhead dam on the river.

The Marion County Sheriff’s Office identified the victim as Tyler Webb, 29, of Marion. Another man, Raymond Williams, 28, of Marion was being sought.

Deputies discovered Webb and Williams were dropped off at about 4 p.m. Monday, were both going to kayak on the Scioto River. It is believed they entered the water at the lowhead dam area and were immediately in trouble and believed to have drowned at that time.

According to the Marion County Sheriff's Office, the body of Raymond Williams, 28, of Marion, was found about 8:15 a.m. Wednesday in the Scioto River about a mile downstream from a lowhead dam where his kayak is believed to have capsized Monday.
The body of Tyler Webb, 29, of Marion, was discovered Monday evening at the dam, which is near the 2000 block of Prospect-Upper Sandusky Road.

As the mother of a child who passed away at 19, I can truthfully say I understand your pain.

May God hold you tightly in the palm of His hand and provide some comfort knowing that your loved one can now have eternal peace in another life, a life that we all eventually pass on to.

I am so sorry.

I can say that time will help a little bit, but it is a long journey.

I hope that you find a support group when you are ready to talk about it.

What the hell? Were they both in the same kayak? Or two different ones?
If two different ones, two things could have happened.
1. Lighten8ng struck and were both electrocuted.
2. They were amateurs, and really didnt know what they were doing.

I only say this if everyone has questions to what exactly happened.

My heart breaks for you. I am so sorry for your loss. He was doing what he loved though I suspect and giving your life to save that of a friend is the highest tribute I know of. He was a fine man. My condolences. FBK
