I am a Teacher who will be quitting my job and never again involving myself in Education. Here is Why.

Just quit my job this semester teaching as a professor at a major university. I'm looking for a new career field as well. At least 2/3 of the students should not be on campus. The university doesn't care as long as a check clears, and most don't even have any desire to be there. With few exceptions, college has become day care for ages 18-22.

This is the real reason why Teaching has such a high turnover rate...it isnt worth it to be exploited by the Department of Education and crooked Superintendents.

Let me start off by saying that I knew well before I even applied to University that what I was going to be taught was false information. I come from a family where most did not and could not obtain a college education, and most of the women in my family got pregnant and married at young ages and only were able to complete High School. I was prepared since childhood to be the first female of my family's generation to graduate from college, so I excelled in school, and went off to college. Initially I was upset throughout college because of just how much incorrect information is taught, and how I had to pay to learn these lies. But for the sake of my family's expectations, I pushed through. My interest was History, so that is what I majored in. And I landed a job the spring that I graduated, teaching 12th Grade History.

Here's where the problems start. What I have been forced to teach is misinformation and watered down lies that are the complete opposite of how events actually occurred. I have been forced to test and grade students on how well they can remember these lies. I have been forced to teach them by using a curriculum that has a very blatant "agenda". I was not aware of this before I took the job. I was not aware of how bad this was. I was not aware that I was going to be used as a mouthpiece for the Department of Education's hellish lies and doctrined. I was not aware of the amount of fabrications that I would be forced to teach.

Out of my good conscience, I cannot let this continue. I cannot teach these easily-impressioned kids a bunch of nonsense for a paycheck. I cannot agree to be used as a mouthpiece for this agenda to keep the youth from knowing true History. Something told me before I even took the job that I was not going to last more than a year. Looks like I was right. I've already resigned and will never again be associating myself with this rotten and nefarious "Education" industry that makes its money off of suppressing the truth and keeping everyone as docile and ignorant as possible. The schools are getting more and more corrupt by the year. It was a billion times more worse than I'd imagined.

So I hope all of you, parents especially, know that your children are being taught and tested on lies. I hope you all know that the Department of Education is doing the most they can to keep your children ignorant and unaware. I'm warning anyone who wants to teach to beware of what you're about to involve yourself in.

Schools are there to strip people of their individuality from an early age, especially the ones in the UK that dress you in uniform to get them used to being just another brick in the wall. They indoctrinate them in faux sciences, faux histories etc. True wisdom is left out, self-expression is frowned upon, as it questioning the status quo.

The only positive I can think of is gaining social skills from interacting with other children. That's pretty much it.

If you can afford to do it, homeschool.

Because unfortunately there are many people who will sell humanity down the river for their "almighty dollar". Doctors have enslaved themselves to the pharmaceutical industry. And they have some of the highest suicide rates in the world which likely correlates to their allegiance to Big Pharma, the Department of Education's corrupt twin.

I am back but on my terms working with like minded-people and parents who want their children to THINK not recite what is poured into their little heads full of mush.

Schools have become juvenile detention and indoctrination centers with very little learning and definitely NO thinking happening at any level...

why dont you teach them the truth and school them on the lies they need to know to pass the tests. you sill be making them smarter. you might need to be a bit clever to do this but you cou,d keep working at least.

You're a teacher?

THIS^^^^^^^^ I work for a Major University and you won't believe the amount of 18-25 yr olds have NO common sense. I've even seen grad students cry when you reprimand them. Schools care about one thing: MONEY. This country is in bad shape in the next 10 yrs.

OP speaks the truth. I taught high school for 6 years. My class was vocational training, but I saw the history tests, (and spent time talking to history teachers in the teacher's lounge). You would be surprised at how many of us agree with you. Most teachers stick it out, and sneak the truth in on the down low. I did see one teacher get fired for giving a lecture on the conspiracy of 911. There are ways to teach students history by asking probing questions. For example, the teacher who wanted to demonstrate that 911 was a conspiracy, could have asked students what they thought about 911, and how come the towers turned to dust. Then say, "has anybody seen this before?" and someone would say, "yes, at a controlled demolition." Then continue to ask probing questions, but remain silent yourself on the matter.
