j15 Be warned there is a very terrible price to be paid

by those who try to twist the words of the bible into supporting their lies. It is a very seductive lie to believe that you can just do as you want, and that the Lord is going to allow you to be reborn again and again 'until you get it right.' That is not so and if you die in your sins then you will join the lying teachers in hell who led you astray.

You have still been blessed with a little time. But don't take all day about it, you could die tomorrow and then where would you be.

Great OP!
Everyone of us knows that it is true. That's why many show up with anger. Truth hurts!
 Quoting: Christian Fighter

Yeah. I'm sure I disagree with OP about some things but this thread is true.

Truth hurts is rigt. Truth will never be popular. Most people here are conformed to the pattern of the world so it's no surprise that truth gets such a bad reception here.

But, as always, there will be a remnant of people to carry the light of the truth in all ages.

Reincarnation is literally the only thing that makes this world make any sense. How is a just judge going to judge the finality of someones soul off one life? When were born into total ignorance at unfair and various individual starting points? Or for many just 10, 20 or 30 years? How are temporal sins worthy of eternal punishment? That is some bullshit.

Isn't the old saying life is unfair?

Who the heck owes you anything.

God created he can certainly destroy. You best hope you aren't destroyed.

Your perceptions of Love/Fairness means nothing to a Creator created these very feelings.

Love to God could very well mean "I love you but you must suffer that's just how it is".

Angels didn't even get a chance. The were bad they go to Hell no questions asked.

Re: Reincarnation is a lie.
Human beings WERE NOT CREATED TO DIE! How come Adam and Eve were not prepared to join God and his Son in Heaven? Why was eternal death and sickness not explained as what was intended, if what we now experience was 'meant to be'? Why did Jesus resurrect anyone back to life on Earth if it was God's will they die and stay dead? Was a mistake made in where their 'souls' went, or was it simply a reckless display of power with no bearing on the future of his disciples? Why cure any disease or physical infirmity if these things were intended to happen in the first place, with no prescribed end? How could God's Kingdom be readily present in the heart of the Pharisees, the ones who conspired to kill Jesus (Luke 17:21)?

God did not create the Earth for nothing: Isaiah 45:18

All sin is ACQUITTED upon death: Romans 6:7

The dead KNOW NOTHING/CAN DO NOTHING: Ecclesiastes 9:5,6,10

Death is to be ERADICATED FROM EXISTENCE ITSELF: 1 Corinthians 15:26, Revelation 20:10-15

King David IS NOT in Heaven! Acts 2:34

Jesus came in his Father's name to become the new Adam (Romans 5:12-19; compare with Romans 7:14-25) and erase the stain of sin and death from all of mankind once and for all. If after his death mankind is simply left to continue on in sickness and death, then Jesus failed at his mission. (1 Corinthians 15:21)

This is no private interpretation, this is merely what the bible itself actually says. (2 Peter 1:20)

Re: Reincarnation is a lie.
If you reincarnate again into the 3rd dimensional material human kingdom after you die, then it is a penalty imposed by the spirit!

It would be like graduating with a PhD in mathematics and then having your mind scrambled and be sent back to Kindergarden or first grade!

I for one hope I will never have to return to the earthly plane all over again to "re-evolve". That would be the ultimate cruel joke.

That being said, there are many of us that would do better to reconsider just HOW we are evolving in this life, where we are going, and just what we are evolving into!

Angel? Demons? Perhaps metaphors for good and evil in the extreme, but we are a "life wave". And we are being guided daily by a previous life wave that has moved on to the spiritual kingdom after they too evolved here even as we are!

Perhaps what seems to be deja vu is really only our contact with the spirit guides who are only going on their own previous earth experience to nudge us n what they feel is the right direction.

What represents a successful life from the spiritual evolutionary point of view, may in fact be an entirely DIFFERENT SET OF VALUES than that which re l resents success from our earthly and material point of view!!!

With that, I think it would be wise for most of us to redefine our values, our value systems, and get a little Philosophy!

Have you ever stopped to ask yourself. Why did he have to die? If god is all powerful and the creator of all and us. Why couldn't he just forgive. Just a plain old I forgive you. It's not near a dramatic as My son died for you people, so I'll forgive you now (truthfully though he's not dead but up here with me), even though I created you imperfect to begin with.
It all just sounds so silly when you think about it.

This is the nuts and bolts of it...

Think about it....

- God creates man, gives him free will

- Man uses freewill to disobey God

- God punishes man

- God comes up with a cunning plan to redeem man.

- God sacrifices himself to himself.

- Only those who choose to believe in this will be saved.

It is a farce of monumental proportions.

The Age of Pioneers , The Age of Conquests ,The Age of Commerce ,The Age of Affluence ,The Age of Intellect ,The Age of Decadence.
Decadence is marked by: Defensiveness, Pessimism, Materialism,Frivolity An influx of foreigners The Welfare State A weakening of religion. Decadence is due to: Too long a period of wealth and power, Selfishness Love of money ,The loss of a sense of duty.

Re: Reincarnation is a lie.
No it's not.

The Secret Book of John: Everyone has drunk from the water of forgetfulness and lives in a state of ignorance. Some people are able to overcome ignorance by having the life-giving Spirit descend upon them. These souls "will be saved and will become perfect," that is, escape the cycle of birth and rebirth. John asks Jesus what will happen to those who do not attain salvation. They are hurled down "into forgetfulness" and thrown into "prison," the Christian Gnostic symbol for a new body. Jesus says the only way for these souls to escape is to acquire knowledge after coming from forgetfulness. A soul can accomplish this by finding a teacher who can lead the soul in the right direction:

“This soul needs to follow another soul in whom the Spirit of life dwells, because she is saved through the Spirit. Then she will never be thrust info flesh again.” Secret Book of John 14:20

"I was given a sound body to live in because I was already good." Wisdom of Solomon 8:19-20
. This verse raises the following question: How is it possible to get a body after you have already been good unless reincarnation is true?

"Watch and pray that you may not be born in the flesh, but that you may leave the bitter bondage of this life." Book of Thomas the Contender[/b]

Even if none of the Gnostic evidence can sway your mind, the following should at least make you stop and ponder.
The Roman Emperor Justinian (545 A.D) made it punishable by death to believe in reincarnation.

If Christ prophesied through the apostle John that the true Christians would be killed and that a false church would replace them, then IT IS THE BELIEFS OF THE ONES KILLED THAT REPRESENTS THE TRUE TEACHINGS OF CHRIST, NOT THE TEACHINGS OF THE ONES THAT SURVIVED!!

Jeremiah 1:45 Now the word of the Lord came to me saying, "Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you; and before you were born I consecrated you, and I appointed you a prophet to the nations"
This passage clearly suggests that Jeremiah existed in a non-earthly part of Creation before he was conceived. This is to say that pre-existence is acknowledged by the Scriptures and that human beings do not come into existence only at birth. If we existed before birth, does that period of existence include, or can it include, a time on earth? If not, explain why not??

John 9:2 “Rabbi, who sinned, this man, or his parents, that he was born blind?” The question indicates that the disciples believed, or knew, that it was possible for a baby to be born blind as a result of the baby's sin. The disciples were, of course, intelligent and wise enough to know that any punishment of being born blind could only have been due to a sin committed before birth. In other words, the disciples would not have asked the question if they did not consider it possible for a person to commit a sin before birth.

Heb. 11:13-16 “IF THEY HAD BEEN THINKING OF THE COUNTRY THEY HAD LEFT, THEY WOULD HAVE HAD OPPORTUNITY TO RETURN. Instead they were longing for a better country — a heavenly one. Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God, for he has prepared a city for them.”
The emphasized part of this passage clearly indicates that people who die still hankering after the things of earth, will be given the opportunity to return to it. This is precisely what reincarnation is all about.

Rev. 3:12 “Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out.”
After reaching perfection, people will no longer have to be born into the flesh.

Job 1:21 “Naked I came from my mother’s womb, and naked I shall return there.” How can a man return to his mother’s womb if not through rebirth into another body? Apparently Job, in Old Testament times, believed in reincarnation.

Hebrews 7:10 “…when Melchizedek met Abraham, Levi was still in the body of his ancestor.” Apart from reincarnation, how could anyone have ever been in the body of their ancestor? With reincarnation, it quite literally makes sense: in an earlier incarnation, Levi’s soul was living in the body of one of the ancestors of his current body.

Matthew 11:13-14 “For all the prophets and the law prophesied unto John. And if ye will receive it, this is Elias which was for to come.” Elias is Greek for the Hebrew name Elijah. Here it clearly states that John the Baptist is the same as Elijah.

Re: Reincarnation is a lie.
Thank you have noticed many false prophets of late but that is to be expected...

Reincarnation is the philosophical or religious concept that an aspect of a living being starts a new life in a different physical body or form after each biological death. It is also called rebirth or transmigration, and is a part of the Saṃsāra doctrine of cyclic existence

[link to en.wikipedia.org (secure)]

Saṃsāra is a Sanskrit word that means "wandering" or "world", with the connotation of cyclic, circuitous change.[1][2] It also refers to the theory of rebirth and "cyclicality of all life, matter, existence", a fundamental assumption of all Indian religions.[2][3] Saṃsāra is sometimes referred to with terms or phrases such as transmigration, karmic cycle, reincarnation, and "cycle of aimless drifting, wandering or mundane existence"

 Quoting: B.B. 74980881

Roman Emperor Justinian made arrangements for reincarnation to be removed from official Church doctrine in 553 A.D.

In the early centuries of the Christian Church, disputes over doctrine were settled by bishops of the Church, through meetings called Ecumenical Councils. These Councils were major gatherings, which occurred infrequently, sometimes once in a hundred years. To understand the story of reincarnation and the Christian Church, we must go back in time to the year 330 A.D.

In that year, Constantine the Great moved the capital of the Roman Empire from Rome to Constantinople, a city which today is called Istanbul. As a result, two centers of the Christian Church developed; the Western Church in Rome and the Eastern Church in Constantinople. The emperors of Constantinople controlled the Eastern Church and dictated policy as they pleased.

As an example, the Constantinople Emperor Leo III prohibited images and portraits from being kept in churches, so icons, paintings of saints, which today are so admired for their beauty, had to be removed from places of worship. On the other hand, the Western Church headquartered in Rome refused to give up icons. Similarly, the Constantinople Emperor Justinian determined Church policy regarding reincarnation.

In the sixth century, the Church was divided over the issue of reincarnation. Western bishops in Rome believed in pre-existence of the soul while Eastern bishops were opposed to it. Emperor Justinian, who controlled the Eastern Church, was against the doctrine of reincarnation. As an example of his interference in Church matters, Justinian excommunicated the Church Father Origen, who openly supported the idea of reincarnation.

To further his agenda, Justinian convened the Fifth Ecumenical Council in 553 A.D., with only six bishops of the Western Church in attendance. On the other hand, 159 bishops of the Eastern Church, which Justinian controlled, were present.

It was at this meeting that pre-existence of the soul was voted out of Church doctrine. Emperor Justinian manipulated Church doctrine by stacking the voting deck in his favour.

Pope Vigilius protested this turn of events and demanded equal representation between Eastern and Western bishops. Though the Pope was present in Constantinople at the time of the Fifth Ecumenical Council, he boycotted the Council in protest. Justinian not only ignored Pope Vigilius, but persecuted him.

The Catholic Encyclopedia states that the conflict between the Emperor Justinian and the Pope was so extreme that the Pope suffered many indignities at the hands of the emperor and was almost killed.

Can you conceive today that a politician or head of state could dictate church policy to the Pope or that the Pope would boycott the biggest meeting at the Vatican in a hundred years? Yet this is what happened.

As a result, the Catholic Encyclopedia states, the Council called by Justinian was not a true Ecumenical Council, so the removal of pre-existence of the soul as a Church doctrine should not be considered an actual decree of the Ecumenical Council. (8, 9)

Re: Reincarnation is a lie.
:j15: Be warned there is a very terrible price to be paid

by those who try to twist the words of the bible into supporting their lies.

Heb 9:27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:

 Quoting: Judethz

What a lovely religion, is it not apparent to you that these punishments are not so and that they are simply man's flawed belief in existence, why is an all loving being so bad? Why do you fools need a lake of fire? Is it because you need your "sacrifices" to mean something? How selfish.

Zohar = the chief text of the Jewish Kabbalah

As long as a person is unsuccessful in his purpose in this world, the Holy One, blessed be He, uproots him and replants him over and over again. (Zohar I 186b)

All souls are subject to reincarnation; and people do not know the ways of the Holy One, blessed be He! They do not know that they are brought before the tribunal both before they enter into this world and after they leave it; they are ignorant of the many reincarnations and secret works which they have to undergo, and of the number of naked souls, and how many naked spirits roam about in the other world without being able to enter within the veil of the King's Palace. Men do not know how the souls revolve like a stone that is thrown from a sling. But the time is at hand when these mysteries will be disclosed. (Zohar II 99b)

Re: Reincarnation is a lie.
Where's the proof there's no reincarnation? Proof even heaven or God exists?
