"[Former Newtown Police sergeant Barbara Froehlich] said she was a target of derogatory comments made by Newtown police officers on Facebook following her appointment to the detective division....She’s now seeking to receive pay at her latest salary level until she’s 62, and reimbursement for medical expenses, among other damages. The lawsuit comes at a time of turmoil for the department. A sergeant [Santucci] and a dispatcher [Chickos] were accused earlier this year of illegal drug deals inside the police station."
Can't link - article entitled "Former sergeant accuses Newtown police of harassment," July 11, 2015.
Named in the suit are:
Kehoe Rios Vanghele Sinko Robinson
Note that "...illegal drug deals inside the police station" is putting it mildly. Newtown's own Santucci was running a Chinese-sourced drug distribution ring IN his office at NPD.
Now check this:
"Kehoe was going to recommend her termination in December 2013 because of two internal investigations that she said had "knowingly false reports" created by Robinson and Vanghele."
Look at that termination date: December 2013. That year saw NPD being rigorously investigated by the Connecticut State Police for their actions at Sandy Hook School; as if that weren't bad enough, the feds were concurrently embroiled in a four year long investigation into Santucci.
I don't know which whistle a person would pick first, honestly. But I'd sure like to see if Froehlich appears in any of the Operation Juice Box [FBI sting into Santucci] reports, for starters. |
