"All proceeds from the show will go towards the 'We Love Manchester Emergency Fund,' in partnership with the British Red Cross and Manchester City Council." In other words, none of the donations will go to the people who actually suffered. Just another slush fund for the usual suspects who will use the $$$ for anything they wish, just like during the Haiti earthquake relief concerts and the 9/11 donations to the American Red Cross. Ahead of Ariana Grande’s benefit concert to pay tribute to the victims of the Manchester terror attack, Grande’s record label has donated $500,000 to the ‘We Love Manchester Memorial Fund’. Universal Music Group donated half a million dollars to the fund with a statement that read: “The Universal Music Group global family is proud to stand with Ariana Grande and its other performing artists in their support for the victims and families affected by the Manchester attack,” the company said in a statement.” Read more at [link to www.nme.com] |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 30776013 Canada 06/03/2017 10:08 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I really hate these "benefit" concert scams. Who pays for it all and who benefits? The fans buy tickets and the taxpayer pays for security, the pop stars get to sing a few songs, probably put together an album that fans will buy and they take photos with the victims. The authorities get to take time off from protecting the public at large to provide security at the concert. Everyone will say how brave, noble and caring the stars are when they donate the proceeds to help the victims, though it isn't clear exactly who will manage the money and decide what to do with it. Most of the fans live there, it's their community, they are no doubt upset about the attacks, and now they are paying for tickets to a concert to help their own community. How much money are these pop tarts spending of their own money? The way I see it, they are using the fans to pay for tickets so that they can donate it and get the publicity. I don't see them taking big sums of money out of their own pockets to do something helpful. Why don't they just organize a group of friends in their industry to adopt a maimed victim each, take care of their medical expenses and rehabilitation? Probably because they are less interested in helping and more interested in capitalizing on a PR opportunity. |

Where would be the best place to pay their people but through this channel Hollywood open the door for by a terrorist attack??? Doesn't add up to me. I'm not buying it. Quoting: Ostria1 Look what happened with Germany's rock festival yesterday Haven't heard of any. But then we probably won't. The UK keeps a lot of stuff under wraps - and the British don't panic and shut down like the Germans. Is Janey around? She'd know. Yes i hope Janey will come and do a little search on this. Btw i read that the german festival organisers will decide today if they will let the festival go on (it is 3 days long). The police has arrested two men who worked in the company that helped with organising the festival and one of them is said to be a salafi. Ostria |

This was no false flag, I know people who were caught up on in the explosion. I remember being nice manchester when I he biggest UK mainland bomb went off. We mancunions do not run nor do we hide when faced will evil, we do the same except opposite . We are a different breed, we are born with a unique DNA that only Mancunians posses, our vains are filled with it. I tried to get tickets from 9:59 until 10:20, I had no chance as 800 thousand tried to buy tickets at the same time. So sorry to disappoint our friends from across the pond, Mancunions never hide from fear we grow stronger together as one. So very proud of Ariana Grand, the city would be pleased to give her the freedom of the city and make her a Mancunion . Seeing her visit the badly injured children brought a tear to my eyes, and up until the explosion I didn't know who she was, but everyone in the UK does now. If there were 1000 more attacks on our great city we would stilll move forward as one and look the devil straight into his eyes. |
