Re: Unresolved mistery: What is the speed of Gravity?
science says the sun shoots out photons and solar wind/particles.

science says photons have momentum, able to push solar sail.

if true, solar wind/particles will be pushing by photons and move faster and faster away from the sun.

when solar wind reaching earth, what will happen?

how about iss and its crews?
Quoting: Anonymous Coward 59686777

Photons do have momentum. It can be demonstrated with a radiometer. Yes, radiation will cause an acceleration, but radiation falls off as one over the distance squared. So as you get farther from the Sun, the intensity of the radiation falls. So there is a limit to the acceleration that can be achieved.

The solar wind is not radiation. It is particles, protons and electrons. When the particles reach the Earth they interact with the Earth's magnetosphere and caused the aurora.

Re: Unresolved mistery: What is the speed of Gravity?
by now, can you see e=mcc is bs?

m is mass/matter/charged particles. e is moving/vibrating force/electrostatic force.

if m moves at c speed, it carries 1/2mcc energy, for m to carry mcc energy, it has to move faster than light.
Quoting: Anonymous Coward 59686777

No. That is not what it means. E=mc^2 is the rest energy of a mass. Rest means not moving.

The energy of a photon is E=hf where h is Planck's constant and f is the frequency of the photon.

For objects that are not photons, the energy is E=(1/2)mv^2 where v is the velocity of motion.

Re: Unresolved mistery: What is the speed of Gravity?
That is stupid. That assumption would mean that light would bend around any plasma source. We create plasma sources on Earth all the time with no bending of light.
Quoting: Anonymous Coward 71471045

Think about this. We create plasma here, at labs, using laser that heats matter at an atomic level, breaking bonds between atoms nuclei and electrons. All what we need is to heat matter at about 5000 Celsius degrees, and that's it. Plasma!

But, what is HEAT at an atomic level? long wavelengths. And what is heat at atomic level? NOTHING, because temperature can only be measured at macro levels (cm, meters, etc.).

We don't create enough plasma mass to observe and measure effects on light. Only with massive objects (Sun) the effect of plasma mass on light can be observed.
Quoting: Anonymous Coward 75094704

The temperature of a particle is E=(1/2)mv^2 where v is the rms speed of a gas. The temperature is also E=(3/2)kT where k is Boltzmann's constant.
Temperature is a measure of the kinetic energy of a particle.

Heat is a change in thermal energy. Changes in thermal energy occur by collisions which can increase of decrease the rms speed and hence the temperature.

Heat transfer occurs by conduction, convection, or radiation.

What is interesting, and hypocritical, about your statement is the use of the words "plasma mass". Gravity is an effect that depends on the mass of the objects. Plasma temperature does not depend on mass. So if light bending depends on mass you are describing the classical definition of gravity.

...

Neither statement is correct. The speed of light is constant even near a black hole. Simple observations have shown that light bends near a massive object. Light has been observed to bend when light from a distant star passes near the Sun.

So to, light bends near a black hole only the bending is so strong that the light is unable to escape.
Quoting: Anonymous Coward 75007420

hot plasma/gasses on the sun bends light path, not gravity. wake up.

does atmosphere bend sunlight? if atmosphere becomes super hot/plasma, does it bend sunlight?
Quoting: Anonymous Coward 59686777

You are talking about refraction. The atmosphere beyond the surface of the Sun is too rarefied to cause that much refraction.

F*ck Einstein, Newton and associates.

Gravity is only a centripetal force exerted by bodies in movement. Gravity doesn't work between motionless objects, are there is impossible to prove I'm wrong because all is in movement along our Solar System and the Universe.

Suppose there is an invisible and elastic rope that bind us to the mass center of a heavier object. This rope, being elastic, can allow us to put satellites or spacecrafts in orbit, only after we succeded accelerating rockets upwards, but as limited as we are, we don't have strong enough motors to go straight up to the moon or farter. We have to rest at the first step (orbiting Earth at 300 miles) and start from there to scape the pull of the invisible rope and get into the outer space.

What is this imaginary rope? Well, atomic bondings within matter that keep us glued to Earth surface. If these bondings weren't, we would be expelled toward space due to centrifugal force created by Earth rotating on its center, with a 24 hours cycle.

At the moon, the "rope" is 6 times weaker than here. Moon rotates every 28 days, but Earth rotation still affect us over there. So, that's the difference.

Proof to me that an experiment has be conducted on an inertial reference frame wich is FREEZED on the space (it doesn't move). Then, if you can measure gravity over there, you win.

As this experiment is impossible to be made, I win with my simpler idea.

Only 3 forces exists: electromagnetical (macro universe) and strong and weak forces (atomic level).

How to measure gravity without worrying about motion

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 71471045

No, no, no! Too easy and inertial speed CAN'T be neutralized. The experiments are flawed.

Go out to deep space, stay still (you will find this is impossible, as you keep rotating around the Sun) and try to measure gravity.

More yet, get out of our galaxy and stay midways between our galaxy and Andromeda (at the mass center of this two celestial complex bodies).

Then, being there motionless, perform every experiment made over here. I believe NOTHING WILL WORK!

With our characteristica arrogance, we think that even when we are microbs at a galaxy scale, we can project our natural laws, based on flawed mathematical tools, to the entire universe?? GIVE ME A BREAK!!

Do you know about a MAJOR FLAW in all of our mathematical tools? It's very simple:

Every single transform that is used to analyze things in another domain ALWAYS have a NEGATIVE PLANE. There, do you see? Flawed for 300 years (go Fourier, Lorentz, Bessel, Laplace and 50 or more transforms).

When you do the transform or the anti-transform, a negative plane appears like with the Inverse Fourier Transform.

Only using computers to perform discrete transforms, we deliverately ELIMINATE the negative plane. The result? It bring to us non-causal results (things occur before they happen).

And CURIOUSLY, it works!! Thanks the engineers and software developers! This method is the base of SDR () like the smartphone that you have.

But, the problem with these things is that you can't write a valid analytical equation. Only lines of code.
Quoting: Anonymous Coward 75094704

Your beliefs are totally irrelevant. And you clearly have no clue about the experiments I referenced.

Pseudoscientific beliefs in "negative planes" won't save you.

Throwing out terms like Software Defined Radios is meaningless to a discussion about gravity. SDR uses FFT, mixers, and filter to demodulate a signal.

matter transforming into matters, what else?

if you think matter can transfer into energy, by nuclear reaction, that is a mistake.

if you think energy can transfer into matter, by science story, that is a mistake.

nuclear energy is the same as chemical energy, both are stored within charged particles within atoms.

chemical energy is from releasing the bonding force between electrons and proton/enertron ball, nuclear energy is from releasing the bonding force between proton and enertrons.

this is too deep for you, before you understood the true structure of atoms.

if you can prove matter and energy is interchangeable, please share it.

FIRST: I started this thread 2 weeks ago looking for a subject that could be controversial. It went well, even when several times, postings were way off topic.

SECOND: You are not following the path of tought in the post that snapped you! I'm bringing the subject of SDR and DFFT here to PROOF that the ANALOG WORLD of the mathematics is flawed because it needs negative axis to WORK! If you don't get it, then go back to reading books and rethink things.

Without negative planes, integro-differential calculus doesn't work, OK? Specially with domain-transform tools. If you make the inverse transform of a Fourier function in the frequency domain, you obtain a function that covers from NEGATIVE infinite to POSITIVE infinite.

This is a SIMPLIFICATION in order to obtain CAUSAL functions. (i.e.: the response function of an impulse going throug a filter is CAUSAL, because the output has a DELAY regarding the input. If you use ONLY the POSITIVE side of the transform (impossible to do with analog math) then the output happens BEFORE the input, OK?

I cite SDR and DSP as a proof that engineers don't care about this flaw. They only uses the POSITIVE plane in the DFFT world, so theoretically output precedes the input signal. They don't care and the devices works anyway.

THIRD: Before saying that something I write is irrelevant, go and read about how to be a didactical person and not a hard core nerd who blasts others quoting "heavy stuff" gibbery without flexibility.

Did you teach to a class a technical stuff in your life? If you did or if you do, you have to have SEVERAL WAYS to explain the same thing, USIN ANALOGIES, ok? Several ways!

The ability to explain the same thing in several different ways, using analogies, is not for any random teacher. It takes flexibility and a good base of knowledgement.

You have not proven that mathematics is flawed. You have proven your understanding of mathematics is flawed.

What you are really trying to say is not “negative plane”, but imaginary axis. In creating solutions to simple quadratic equations such as x^2 + 5 = 0 it is necessary to introduce the imaginary number, square root of minus 1. It is a standard, and well tested process in mathematics. The history of complex numbers goes back to the 16th century. Complex numbers work quite well in solving numerous problems. You started talking about DSP. Not me. And you discussed the topic incorrectly.

OK. I've got a clear picture about who you are now.
You are a person that can't stop from being agressive in your arguments and you have to resort to the downplaying thing every time when you snap over something that you don't like.

I knew a few persons like you, in person. They respect me and don't dare to question what I say before they really think if there is a chance that I might be right. In real life, it works as a charm, and I never had a problem with those who think they OWN the knowledgement.

I also can tell that there isn't a single bit of humour and wit, as you can't tell the difference between a joke and a real statement. For instance, you don't get sarcasm and you are unable to tell if someone is trolling you, like I do over here at will (it takes intelligence and a good sense of humour).

One more thing: I'm almost 63 years old. I started University when I was 15, got an Engineering Degree by 21 and two Masters in Telecommunications and Information Theory by my 23 birthday.

I can walk back and forth on every body of knowledgement regarding mathematics, statistics, clasic physics, quantum physics, technical software and almost EVERYTHING on telecommunications. I wrote more than 20 thousand pages on technical stuff for my students. My last handbook on telecommunications has about 980 pages (three years ago). I've wrote more than 250 thousands line of code (technical) and constructed with my own hands several instruments, a computer clone, a rack with general purpose DSP subsystems to work on sound, speech and front end transceivers. There are so many more other things I did in the last 45 years that I don't recall now.

When a keyboard knowledge warrior like you start chatting with other "virtual person", I sugest that you spare a bit of doubt about WHO REALLY IS ON THE OTHER SIDE. Maybe, and I don't want to hurt your feelings, there is someone smarter than you (sorry) that plays you at will as I do.

Do you like fishing? Do you know what a bait is? Do you smile? Do you take yourself seriously? Stop this now. It doesn't worth the effort. You can't beat me, as I'm a master on games like theses.

I will not reply you paragraph by paragraph. It's not worthy. Now, STOP. Go back in this thread and READ what you wrote and what other people wrote and, PLEASE, wonder if your behavior really is the right one for an intelligent person (and you are one).

Goodbye. No hard feelings. I'm past them.

The real unresolved mystery is, why doesn't OP know how to spell 'mystery' correctly?

Gnat and gravity should shake something up, so anything that has little weight as still flies, does not lose direction or balance.

These are the times that tries men's and
women's souls!

May we come though it victorious!

gravity is a function of mass/density and velocity, hence with no mass (post explosion) no gravity effects

I don't know, because I can't hear myself as I am TYPING IT!!

So, a typo? Maybe. A misspell, no way. Google "mystery" to find out who is right.

English is my second language and I don't master it, neither I show off that I do.

You, as an english speaking person, should wonder WHY, after 14 pages NO ONE NOTICED THE ERROR ON THE SUBJECT!

It should say UNSOLVED, not UNRESOLVED!!

Unlike you, I have not resorted to ad hominem attacks.

And no, I do not believe you. I do not believe you are an expert in DSP. I do not believe you have multiple degrees.

And, despite your fake broken English, I recognize you for who you really are. The poster formally known as Anonymous Astrophysicist and half a dozen other names. You keep getting banned and reinvent yourself with a new persona.

And now you will say the same tired thing about not knowing who AA is.

Now, this is interesting! Faraday, Gauss, Maxwell, Edison, Tesla and so many others in a single video:

OK, buddy. PEACE!!!

I formally invite to you, if you ever come to Argentina, to an ASADO with EMPANADAS appetizers and good argentinian wine.

A good food with friendly talk is the best thing in the world to settle differences.

Re: Unresolved mistery: What is the speed of Gravity?
as we know so far, energy and matter are conserved, nothing can vanish, all is immortal.

if we don't have a soul, what is talking?
Quoting: Anonymous Coward 59686777

Energy is conserved, always. Matter is not.
Quoting: Anonymous Coward 71471045

matter transforming into matters, what else?

if you think matter can transfer into energy, by nuclear reaction, that is a mistake.

if you think energy can transfer into matter, by science story, that is a mistake.

nuclear energy is the same as chemical energy, both are stored within charged particles within atoms.

chemical energy is from releasing the bonding force between electrons and proton/enertron ball, nuclear energy is from releasing the bonding force between proton and enertrons.

this is too deep for you, before you understood the true structure of atoms.

if you can prove matter and energy is interchangeable, please share it.
