The Jehovah's Witness Bible PROVES that JESUS IS GOD
The one key doctrine

In 2 John verse 9 he mentions a doctrine that is so important that it establishes an essential difference between those who do and those who do not HAVE God. The matter is so important that in verse 10 those who do not have this one doctrine are not even to be allowed into one's own home. What is this doctrine?

2 John verses 9-11

9 Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son.

10 If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed:

11 For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds.

The doctrine of Christ

The doctrine of Christ, who Jesus is, by the bible's own testimony is the most important doctrine the Christian can possess. Who is this Christ that died on the cross for the sins of mankind? Was he a created being, created by God the Father only to be killed because of his rebellious creation? If this is who Jesus really is then anyone could have died for man's sins. It could have been any angel, any man, or it could even have been you or I.

But the doctrine of Christ as taught in the bible is something far different. Jesus Christ was not just a created being, a sort of fall guy sent from heaven. The bible clearly teaches the Lord Jesus Christ was and is GOD HIMSELF, that is was the Creator and Sustainer of the entire universe, Almighty God himself, who came down and took upon himself his own penalty for the sins of mankind. God in his love for man didn't send anyone else, but he he himself came and allowed his own precious blood to be spilled for our sins.

The bible teaches that Jesus is God

This is the key teaching of the bible which is clearly taught in the authorized King James version of the bible. Because the Jehovah's Witnesses have not accepted this doctrine they have prepared their own translation which greatly obscures this basic biblical truth. But even in their New World Translation (NWT) bible this doctrine can be clearly seen by simply examining the bible's teaching on who God and Jesus are. If every quality and attribute possessed by God is also possessed by Jesus then Jesus himself must be God.

About the translation

While we do not believe that the Jehovah's Witnesses' New World Translation is an accurate translation of the bible we are using its scriptures to prove that even in their own translation Jesus is still, unmistakably the one and only God.

We will do a scriptural comparison of NWT verses to other NWT verses and we will find out who this bible says that Jesus is and who this bible says that God (or Jehovah) is.

Luke 5:22

Who is Jesus?

This is by no means the end. The list of who Jesus is goes on and on. Every attribute of God is also ascribed to Christ.

Therefore Jesus Christ must be more thna a mere man. Men do not possess all the qualities of God. Only God himself can possess all the qualities of God. Therefore Jesus Christ himself must be the one true God.

Though the Jehovah's Witnesses deny this their own bible clearly teaches it, as does the King James bible and every other translation.

A classic example of how the NWT has incorrectly translated certain vital scriptures in the holy bible can be seen by examining John 1:1. The Jehovah's Witnesses NWT says "and the Word was a god."

There are at least 18 other translations of the bible that translates the last words in John 1:1 as "the Word was God." They are: King James, Douay, Darby, Rotherham, New Life Testament, New International, Jerusalem, Modern King James, Revised Standard, American Standard, Numeric English, New American Standard, Berkeley, Phillips, Weymouth, Montgomery, Young's Literal translation, New Testament in Basic English.

In addition to these 18 translations we have compiled 8 other versions which say:

and God was the Word - Lamsa
and Word was God Himself - Amplified
the Word was... absolute diety - Wuest
the Word was God Himself - Williams
the Word was divine - Smith and Goodspeed
what God was, the Word was - New English
he was the same as God - Today's English
the Logos was divine - Moffatt

Out of all the existing translations of the holy bible taken from the original languages only those published by the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society deny that Jesus Christ is God.

Therefore is you find yourself in the Jehovah's Witnesses or similar organization which does not believe and teach this essential Christian doctrine your eternal salvation may very well depend on your leaving them and finding a truth in revelation by a relationship with the Lord God Almighty Jesus Christ himself.

Jesus is equal to God

Keep this mental attitude in you that was also in Christ Jesus, who, although he was existing in God’s form, gave no consideration to a seizure, namely, that he should be equal to God.
Philippians 2:6

This is why the J-ws began seeking all the more to kill him, because not only was he breaking the Sabbath but he was also calling God his own Father,+ making himself equal to God.
John 5:18

No one can receive the Holy Spirit without accepting Jesus as equal to the Father

God warns us,
Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: (but) he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also.
1 John 2:23 (KJV)

Jesus reveals to us,
no man knoweth the Son, but the Father; neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal him.
Matthew 11:27 (KJV)

God admonishes us,
Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son.
2 John 1:9 (KJV)

God instructs us,
That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
Romans 10:9 (KJV)

Jesus us clues us in,
if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light. (KJV)
Matthew 6:22

One is only equal to one, not two or any other number. 1=1. If Jesus is not equal to the Father then there cannot be the receiving of the Holy Spirit. The Jehovah's Witnesses must stop believing that the Father God is greater in authority than the Son of God or they will not receive the Holy Spirit. When they put the Father God on a tier, a pedestal of hierarchy above the Son it is not true. To look at the trinity as a triangle is not good.

1
11

it is more like this

1 1 1

and even this

1

The bible says Jesus is Lord of lords, only God is Lord of lords, therefore Jesus is God. If the Father is greater than the Son then truly it is blasphemy. But if one believes in their heart, whether they know not yet that Jesus the Son is also the Father, that the Son is EQUAL to the Father and the Father is EQUAL to the Son then the Lord God Almighty will accept that if it is a true belief. Then if that person should ask Jesus directly for forgiveness of all their sins and for his Holy Spirit it will be granted provided there is no unforgiveness in their heart.

When one believes that the Father is GREATER, BETTER, MORE POWERFUL, KNOWS MORE, IS MORE, IS HIGHER, MORE AUTHORITATIVE than the Son then that person cannot receive the Holy Spirit until they believe that they are equal.

And because the Father went into the virgin Mary and came out of the virgin Mary they are not only equal but the same. They are not 1 Father and 1 Son but rather 1 God. God went into the virgin Mary and God came out. The Father Spirit went in and came out as God in the flesh.

Jesus' earthly dad is no one. Jesus' dad is the Father God. But it's only for the sake of identity. Jesus' is his Father, he went into the virgin Mary and came out. God went in and God came out. Everything he did was as an example for HIS children, those who would listen and receive and believe and obey.

The Lord Jesus bless you.

Jesus states over 180 times of His relationship to the Father, that He is the Son.

ALL of John 17...which is Jesus praying to the Father

1 These words spake Jesus, and lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said,Father, the hour is come; glorify thy Son, that thy Son also may glorify thee:
2 As thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him.
3 And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.
4 I have glorified thee on the earth: I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do.
5 And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was.
6 I have manifested thy name unto the men which thou gavest me out of the world: thine they were, and thou gavest them me; and they have kept thy word.
7 Now they have known that all things whatsoever thou hast given me are of thee.
8 For I have given unto them the words which thou gavest me; and they have received them, and have known surely that I came out from thee, and they have believed that thou didst send me.
9 I pray for them: I pray not for the world, but for them which thou hast given me; for they are thine.
10 And all mine are thine, and thine are mine; and I am glorified in them.
11 And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me, that they may be one, as we are.
12 While I was with them in the world, I kept them in thy name: those that thou gavest me I have kept, and none of them is lost, but the son of perdition; that the scripture might be fulfilled.
13 And now come I to thee; and these things I speak in the world, that they might have my joy fulfilled in themselves.
14 I have given them thy word; and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.
15 I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil.
16 They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.
17 Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.
18 As thou hast sent me into the world, even so have I also sent them into the world.
19 And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they also might be sanctified through the truth.
20 Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word;
21 That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.
22 And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one:
23 I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me.
24 Father, I will that they also, whom thou hast given me, be with me where I am; that they may behold my glory, which thou hast given me: for thou lovedst me before the foundation of the world.
25 O righteous Father, the world hath not known thee: but I have known thee, and these have known that thou hast sent me.
26 And I have declared unto them thy name, and will declare it: that the love wherewith thou hast loved me may be in them, and I in them.

God Jehovah is the Father.

Jesus was sent by the Father and allowed Himself to be crucified per the Father's Will. He does nothing BUT the Father's Will. That is why He said "the Father and I are one".

IF Jesus WAS God there would be no reason for Him to pray to the Father or even mention Him at least 181 times in the NT

[link to mondaymorningreview.wordpress.com (secure)]

10 Reasons why Jesus is not God!

[link to www.answering-christianity.com]

Did Jesus say "pray to me"..."worship me"?? No, ALL of His prayers were to the "Father / He who sent me". He started the Lord's Prayer with "Our Father..."

Jesus prayed to the Father and also taught all who Believe to pray to the Father via the Lord's Prayer. Jesus does ONLY the Father's Will. IF Jesus WAS God there would be no reason for Him to create the Lord's Prayer, which starts out...

Matthew 6

9 In this manner, therefore, pray: Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name.

10 Your kingdom come. Your will be done On earth as it is in heaven. 11 Give us this day our daily bread. 12 And forgive us our debts, As we forgive our debtors. 13 And do not lead us into temptation, But deliver us from the evil one. For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen. 14 "For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. 15 But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

Concerning the End Times, Jesus said "only the Father knows". IF Jesus was God, He wouldn't have said...

Matthew 24:36 (ASV) But of that day and hour knoweth no one, not even the angels of heaven, neither the Son, but the Father only.

All of this arguing about definitions, titles, names etc...is just distractions away from necessary true belief.

The Holy Spirit is either sent by Jehovah Himself or at Jesus' request. It too does NOTHING but the Father's Will.

I don't understand why so many can't grasp this. This is all easily seen in the Bible.

Great post OP!

God says:

"This is what Jehovah says, The King of Israel and his Repurchaser, Jehovah of armies: ‘I am the first and I am the last. There is no God but me." Isaiah 44:6

Jesus says:

“‘Look! I am coming quickly, and the reward I give is with me, to repay each one according to his work. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end." Revelation 22:12-13

Re: The Jehovah's Witness Bible PROVES that JESUS IS GOD
God the Father is the Holy Spirit. It is the greatest of all when Jesus referred to it saying God is greater than all. How can we determine that? Simple, Jesus said ALL SINS shall be forgiven men, even if they sin against the Son, but blasphemy against the Holy Spirit will NOT be forgiven at all ever - assured destruction.

So the Father soul is in Jesus which is the Holy Ghost and the Father Spirit is in Jesus in his soul. When he prayed to the Father he prayed to the power in him that sustains all things. Jesus said the Father is IN him, but also he was IN the Father. We know that for the sake of understanding the mystery of the triune nature of God we must reason with 3 parts of God that are all equal to each other and although they may extend and manifest unto and in many people at once, that they 3 originate and are 1 in Christ Jesus. Otherwise we could easily argue with God asking how he is 1 God if his Holy Spirit is in multiple people at once - that obviously seems like polytheism. Yet if any Christian and Jehovah's Witness can ignore that, or understand it and explain it without God being a polytheos, then the Son, being God, MUST BE God the Father.

The bible says let God be true and every man a liar. That means when Jesus' accusers said he was a liar, sinner, blasphemer, evil, wrong for making himself equal to God, wrong for making himself God, those were lies, even blasphemous. Jesus was without sin, so when he made himself the great I AM, and he took glory from the Father, it was not pride because he was the firstborn image of the invisible Godhead bodily after which all other things were created and came into existence. The Holy Spirit therefore is God in the purest sense, unsensable, pure power, and Jesus is God in the purest material manifest sense, sensable, pure power. Amen.

Not sure how anyone can see the evidence in the OP and deny Jesus is God unless they are under heavy delusion brought on by their own love for sin, or there is simply no room for God in their heart. Every soul who does not know who the Father God is in a personal and intimate way does not and cannot have any peace in their life. Peace only comes from knowing and worshipping God in the truth of his indwelling Spirit.

It was bad enough with the thread of Jesus = God = Archangel Michael...but you are saying that the Holy Spirit is God Himself?

The Holy Spirit is either sent by Jehovah Himself or at Jesus' request. Just like Jesus, it too does NOTHING but the Father's Will.

It's apparent that the Holy Spirit only goes where the Father sends it, as Jesus states that He will "ask the Father to send them a Comforter".

John 14:16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;

John 14:26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

John 15:26 But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me:

John 16:7 Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.

It's apparent that you don't understand that before anything was made was the Spirit and pure essence that is the power of God. And that which is made comes from that which is unmade, so the Spirit is greater than the soul and body and all other things which it created. If you cannot even comprehend this very basic understanding that creation did not always exist but was created by the uncreated Creator, either don't speak or becareful what you do speak before you speak blasphemy AGAIN.

 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 68743696

Yes AND No.

God CANNOT die. I am speaking of the Soul and Spirit part of the trinity of the bodily God Jesus.

There is a technical religious term for how things can progress, or change, as time passes on in regards to claims in verses from the bible. I don't know what it is but this is what I mean, wherein the bible it states that God is NOT a man, it does not say God CANNOT BECOME a man. When it states God cannot die, it doesn't state he cannot become a man and his fleshly part die.

So technically the truthful answer is Yes AND No. It cannot be only Yes or only No because both would be inaccurate given the understanding of both scripture and Jesus' divine nature, being the Father himself.

The Father died absolutely, Jesus' wasn't divinely healed from the Father without dying first, and Jesus is the Father. But the Father Spirit and Soul cannot die hence the resurrection and eternal life. The body died, the Soul and Spirit did not die.

The name of the Body, and the Soul, and the Spirit, is the same Jesus.

Jesus proved with his words, and he being no liar, that he cannot be killed!

Therefore doth my Father love me, because I lay down my life, that I might take it again. No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment have I received of my Father.
John 10:17-18

He must willfully give up the Spirit after any amount of torture. He cannot be burned to death. He cannot have his head chopped off and die. He must at his own will give up his Spirit when he decides in order for him to die.
