When the hip bone is cut out and the replacement put in the infection starts up again at the replacement points. Within 5 years you will need another replacement. |

Get an ice machine for pain. Be consistent and diligent with PT exercise so, do a little more if possible but don't take risks. Clean up diet to fruits and veggies, smoothies and lots of ant inflammatory foods: ginger, cinnamon, wild blueberries, turmeric and raw honey, etc. Good luck! |

They will make you feel Luke shit in an effort to keep you taking more. Ween off within the first day or two of recovery and get on ibuprofen. Narcotics have no anti-inflammatory properties, they just clog up your pain receptor sites. My.bro had hip replaced at 30 y/o and was otherwise healthy. He couldn't take a piss by himself for 3 days. We got him off narcotics and he was walking around cooking breakfast the next morning. |

Yes, Vit C! If you want to really do it right, have 75,000 mgs in an IV while orally taking 25,000 more, just prior to surgery. And mega doses afterward. (the rest of your life) Silica Gel and horsetail to knit the bones for a quick recovery. Show this to your "doctors" and tell them I said it's shame they haven't caught up to the 21st century yet. |

(3 months apart) Physical therapy sucks, but you need it. Time your pain pills to have maximum effect before therapy. You;ll enjoy lots of naps. Walkers suck, but you need it. The giant band aid thingey they put on my leg I ended up having a skin reaction to. We pulled it off and it was gauz and tape after that. Lots of seeping and mess untill it healed. |
