Hmmm - I think it would be fair to say that the impression given by the media is that Grenfell Tower was a bit of a shabby shithole, full of immigrants on Housing benefit. Take a look at this. It's a listing for a 2 bed flat in the Tower, which was available from May 2017. Pretty luxurious by anyone's standards wouldn't you say? [ link to www.rightmove.co.uk] Rent was £395 pw and it clearly says 'No DSS / Housing Benefit Applicants' - somewhat ironic as it was an ex council/social housing block. And again only specific flats were privately owned That thought had crossed my mind too. Nothing seems to add up with this whole story.
