How many reader here are aware that due to the agreements passed thorough NAFTA, back in 1993, the United States will be allowing 100 trucking companies to have FULL reign of American roads, in about two weeks, under a Pilot Program??
These companies can afford to take freight at below rates the independent truckers can't compete with. This may turn out to be a disaster, and is expected to hurt the trucking industry for those of us trucking companies still hanging on.
It may be too late to stop the above, but NOT to late to protest against them taking over our freight!
Open for discussion. |

I think the "Pilot Program" is not an actual "Pilot Program" but rather a cover to "acclimatize" the legal citizens of the U.S. With that out of the way, it will make it a little easier for things like "amnesty" and "free college tuition" for illegal immigrants to become a reality.
The first one "amnesty" as most are aware, is trying to be fervently passed in Congress now since all the businesses need the cheap labor.
The second one "free college tuition" for illegal immigrants is also trying to be passed AGAIN but almost invisible from public scrutiny. As I recall, this was first introduced in 2002 or 2003.
After thinking of all of this, I look back at the 7 Ways - Our Future? (posted on godlikeproductions) and start to make some connections...

The Anti-Fascism Wolf in Sheeps Clothing
I’ll be darned if Sean Penn didn’t say something the other night on CNN’s Larry King Live that made a great deal of sense. As a rule Mr. Penn and I don’t see eye to eye on many things, but I couldn’t help but be pleasantly surprised to see Penn, the son of a Jewish father and Irish Catholic mother catch Larry King momentarily off guard when he quoted the old Kingfish Huey Long. Penn said, “Well, in 1932 Huey Long said something very interesting. It was, 'Fascism will come to America, but likely under another name, perhaps anti-fascism.'” The look on King’s face was priceless, for a moment he was speechless, he finally managed a few words just before going to a commercial break, “We'll dwell on that for a minute,” he said with a perplexed look on his face.
Of course King never returned to that particular comment, nope, something like that hits way too close to home. For the better part of fifty years Larry King [born Lawrence Harvey Zeiger] has done his absolute best to convince Americans that “anti-Fascism,” is the personification of the greatest American ideal, that as the polar opposite of fascism, it must always be good, whereas fascism is always bad, and should forever be equated with Hitler, the Nazi’s and of course the holocaust. And in one unguarded moment, this half-Jewish co-ethnic of King’s goes and gives the whole thing away, on national television, honestly noting that there isn’t a dimes worth of difference between two types of totalitarianism, even if the current perpetrator may have once been it’s victim.
What difference does it really make if one’s ideas and inherent right to express them are suppressed openly as they might be under a so called “fascist sytem,” or covertly as they are in our current system, which likes to masquerade as a government with the greatest respect for its constituencies civil and constitutional rights, a modern democracy it likes to refer to itself as, but yet when it comes to expressing an idea that doesn’t jibe with the status quo’s view of things, suppression and persecution are in order. It happens every day in the United States, Canada and Europe, if someone takes a stand and the ruling elite doesn’t like it, that individual will be made to pay a stiff price, to serve as an example to others, often this happens with the full support and collusion of the misinformed public. |

| killdamon User ID: 126286 3/8/2007 12:40 AM | | Re: To all Americans, Pilot Program of Mexican Trucking Companies into USA about to begin! | Quote | President Bush announced that Mexican truck drivers will be allowed on America's highways within sixty days. Soon, he'll announce that Mexican drivers will "do the jobs that American truckers won't do."
How many ways can an American president screw his own citizens? On Bush's watch, America's poor suffer job losses in landscaping, construction, dry wall, hotel, restaurant, lawn mowing, retail, fast food, roofing, taxi and dozens of other trades. On Bush's watch, outsourcing, insourcing and offshoring work cost American citizens 1,000,000 jobs. On Bush's watch, America's manufacturing sector lost 3 million jobs. On Bush's watch, over 10 million illegal aliens crossed our borders in six years. On Bush's watch, hundreds of thousands of killers, drug dealers, rapists and child molesters roam free in America.
Now, President Bush drives his serrated knife into the heart of American truckers.
Why? Soon, Mexican truck drivers will undercut wages of all American truckers, just like Mexicans destabilize wages from construction workers, roofers, landscapers and other trades.
This is a reality check from a man who has driven the big rigs across 48 states. As a teacher in the 70s, my salary at $5,400.00 a year, barely kept me above the poverty line. Each summer for 24 years, I loaded, drove 1,500 to 2,000 miles across America, and unloaded for United Van Lines. I busted my hump. I worked 70 to 100 hours a week. Don't tell the DOT. I earned four times as much money in three months as I made in nine months teaching math and science.
What did I discover? American truckers consist of the finest, most dedicated and outstanding professionals in the world. Their office is America's Interstates. They've got to be 100 percent perfect 10 hours a day as they drive 40,000 pounds of freight down the expressway. "Breaker one nine, you got the Rubber Duck here; what's your 20?" CB radios make up their communication network. They listen to country and western music; wear cowboy boots and baseball caps. Truckers fill your life with food, clothing, cars, gasoline, mail and everything else. America moves by trucks. I still carry my CDL.
As a teacher and a trucker, you need to know what I know. The average Mexican trucker tops out with a 6th grade education in a foreign language with Third World educational standards. For starters, 63 percent of Mexico's 104 million people remain illiterate. What does a 6th grader think about? Mostly: me, now and perhaps recess in ten minutes. They lack critical thinking skills and cognitive reasoning of an adult.
That means Bush allows thousands of substandard, uneducated Mexican truck drivers on America's highways at 70 milers per hour carrying 40,000 pounds of freight. It means that every accident they cause will leave American families as collateral damage.
You can expect the following:
Bush allows substandard, uninspected 18 wheeler trucks on America's highways driven by drivers who read and write in Spanish at a 6th grade level, but allows them to give a safety check of their trucks from a Third World perspective. That's like giving your 6th grader the keys to the car and tell him to be careful as he drives through downtown Denver at rush hour.
Bush allows thousands of Mexican drivers who have never seen a snow storm or driven in our insane traffic. That's like giving your 6th grader the keys to your car and have him learn how to drive in a snow storm in downtown Chicago.
How about Mexican drivers delivering tons of drugs into our country in false bottomed or walled trailers?
How about Mexican truck drivers delivering even more illegal aliens?
Mexicans possess an unusual propensity for drinking. How many of you want to drive on the same road as a hung over or drunk Mexican truck driver?
How about terrorists paying Mexican drivers to carry WMD into the USA?
As soon as Mexican drivers establish themselves, American trucking companies will start hiring them for half or even a third of American wages. The reasoning will be, "Mexican truckers drive cheaper."
Soon, Bush will say, "Mexican truckers do the jobs that Americans won't do."
Somewhere in the middle of this little shindig Bush created, American truckers will strike back. Their anger will seethe below the surface as they drive down the Interstate. They'll see Mexicans at their truck stops. They hear them speaking another language. They'll see Mexican flags in Mexican trucks. They'll see baseball caps that read, "Your New America."
First you'll hear of an incident where an American trucker cut the air lines or deflated the tires on a Mexican truck. Then, you'll hear of huge pileup with a Mexican truck. Later, you'll hear about American truckers playing cowboy football with their leather boots with Mexican drivers used for the pigskin. Following that, you'll hear about riots in the truck stops with American truckers busting Mexican heads.
It's not too much for illegal aliens taking away hotel jobs from American workers, landscapers, drywallers, painters and fast food workers. It's yet another thing to take jobs away from American truckers. Four million truckers' families depend on a living wage that will be taken away by Mexican drivers. American truckers are big, smart, savvy and protect their own. They're not going to take kindly of Mexican truck drivers horning in on their work.
Bush made huge mistakes; 9/11, WMD, Iraq, open borders, total failure with Katrina, 'the surge,' federal debt, outsourcing our jobs, homeless, America's schools, hospitals overwhelmed, prisons overloaded with illegals, American deaths from drunken illegals and much worse.
But giving Mexican trucker drivers jobs over our American truckers will prove a national disaster. It proves to me that Bush doesn't understand nor does he care about American workers and he most certainly doesn't care about American truckers. That's a big ten four! This is still being "hashed out". Can you believe that?
We have been told they will be able to speak English clearly enough to communicate, understand what their Bill of Ladens mean, basic stuff, and know road signs, etc.
And there is also NO question these trucks will be nice.Probably many of the trucks that have been bought up at discounts from dealers across the country. The ex truck driver that posted, can attest to that.
The above dudes no problem. They will whiz right by. How long it will last? Not hard to figure that out. Once EVERYTHING is decided on, and they have their foot in the door, other companies coming in might not be as careful. Or questioned. Yea, read between the lines. |

Quietly but systematically, the Bush Administration is advancing the plan to build a huge NAFTA Super Highway, four football-fields-wide, through the heart of the U.S. along Interstate 35, from the Mexican border at Laredo, Tex., to the Canadian border north of Duluth, Minn.
Once complete, the new road will allow containers from the Far East to enter the United States through the Mexican port of Lazaro Cardenas, bypassing the Longshoreman’s Union in the process. The Mexican trucks, without the involvement of the Teamsters Union, will drive on what will be the nation’s most modern highway straight into the heart of America. The Mexican trucks will cross border in FAST lanes, checked only electronically by the new “SENTRI” system. The first customs stop will be a Mexican customs office in Kansas City, their new Smart Port complex, a facility being built for Mexico at a cost of $3 million to the U.S. taxpayers in Kansas City.
As incredible as this plan may seem to some readers, the first Trans-Texas Corridor segment of the NAFTA Super Highway is ready to begin construction next year. Various U.S. government agencies, dozens of state agencies, and scores of private NGOs (non-governmental organizations) have been working behind the scenes to create the NAFTA Super Highway, despite the lack of comment on the plan by President Bush. The American public is largely asleep to this key piece of the coming “North American Union” that government planners in the new trilateral region of United States, Canada and Mexico are about to drive into reality.
Just examine the following websites to get a feel for the magnitude of NAFTA Super Highway planning that has been going on without any new congressional legislation directly authorizing the construction of the planned international corridor through the center of the country.
NASCO, the North America SuperCorridor Coalition Inc., is a “non-profit organization dedicated to developing the world’s first international, integrated and secure, multi-modal transportation system along the International Mid-Continent Trade and Transportation Corridor to improve both the trade competitiveness and quality of life in North America.” Where does that sentence say anything about the USA? Still, NASCO has received $2.5 million in earmarks from the U.S. Department of Transportation to plan the NAFTA Super Highway as a 10-lane limited-access road (five lanes in each direction) plus passenger and freight rail lines running alongside pipelines laid for oil and natural gas. One glance at the map of the NAFTA Super Highway on the front page of the NASCO website will make clear that the design is to connect Mexico, Canada, and the U.S. into one transportation system.
Kansas City SmartPort Inc. is an “investor based organization supported by the public and private sector” to create the key hub on the NAFTA Super Highway. At the Kansas City SmartPort, the containers from the Far East can be transferred to trucks going east and west, dramatically reducing the ground transportation time dropping the containers off in Los Angeles or Long Beach involves for most of the country. A brochure on the SmartPort website describes the plan in glowing terms: “For those who live in Kansas City, the idea of receiving containers nonstop from the Far East by way of Mexico may sound unlikely, but later this month that seemingly far-fetched notion will become a reality.”
The U.S. government has housed within the Department of Commerce (DOC) an “SPP office” that is dedicated to organizing the many working groups laboring within the executive branches of the U.S., Mexico and Canada to create the regulatory reality for the Security and Prosperity Partnership. The SPP agreement was signed by Bush, President Vicente Fox, and then-Prime Minister Paul Martin in Waco, Tex., on March 23, 2005. According to the DOC website, a U.S.-Mexico Joint Working Committee on Transportation Planning has finalized a plan such that “(m)ethods for detecting bottlenecks on the U.S.-Mexico border will be developed and low cost/high impact projects identified in bottleneck studies will be constructed or implemented.” The report notes that new SENTRI travel lanes on the Mexican border will be constructed this year. The border at Laredo should be reduced to an electronic speed bump for the Mexican trucks containing goods from the Far East to enter the U.S. on their way to the Kansas City SmartPort.
The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) is overseeing the Trans-Texas Corridor (TTC) as the first leg of the NAFTA Super Highway. A 4,000-page environmental impact statement has already been completed and public hearings are scheduled for five weeks, beginning next month, in July 2006. The billions involved will be provided by a foreign company, Cintra Concessions de Infraestructuras de Transporte, S.A. of Spain. As a consequence, the TTC will be privately operated, leased to the Cintra consortium to be operated as a toll-road.
The details of the NAFTA Super Highway are hidden in plan view. Still, Bush has not given speeches to bring the NAFTA Super Highway plans to the full attention of the American public. Missing in the move toward creating a North American Union is the robust public debate that preceded the decision to form the European Union. All this may be for calculated political reasons on the part of the Bush Administration.
A good reason Bush does not want to secure the border with Mexico may be that the administration is trying to create express lanes for Mexican trucks to bring containers with cheap Far East goods into the heart of the U.S., all without the involvement of any U.S. union workers on the docks or in the trucks.

I think the "Pilot Program" is not an actual "Pilot Program" but rather a cover to "acclimatize" the legal citizens of the U.S. With that out of the way, it will make it a little easier for things like "amnesty" and "free college tuition" for illegal immigrants to become a reality.
<<I agree with you, it could be to acclimate us(Getting us ready for the merge).
You have been seeing these trucks for years, yes. But up till now, they legally could only drop off freight, and pick up load to take back.>>
The first one "amnesty" as most are aware, is trying to be fervently passed in Congress now since all the businesses need the cheap labor.
<< sad isn't it, about the cheap labor? And should make us angry also! But this Amnesty deal...one way or another, it appears to be a DONE deal. We all know how the talking heads act like they are discussing what is going on, what to do. I remember reading it recently that by a certain date, it would be implemented. Just wish we the people were able to have given our say ahead of time.>> |

This is great news, we'll finally get our goods at even a cheaper price.
<<Don't be so sure of that..>>
Who cares if a few Americans truckers are displaced or even if the Mexicans don't drive particularly well. A few highway fatalities are just the cost of doing business! Relax everyone, you'd think you were all anti-capitalists or something.
<<Good grief! I hope you're not serious??? The EXTREMELY HIGH Insurance rates for Carriers is already unreal. That alone has put many companies out of business. |
