I agree OP that we are definitely very very lucky to be here. I think that something superintelligent did create us and I am thankful it did. I hope whatever did make us is still here (it probably is I think) and cares about us (it probably does).

For one it is keeping earth relatively safe and has for a long time. For two it appears that it has a sense of humor. For three it appears for all sense and purposes it would have near total control of humans through multiple ways, including our DNA which clearly has Windows tier backdooors written into it. So you better play nice.
