Lot of variables but the instant deceleration from 70mph would defeat most protective airbags, etc. and death would be instant.

I imagine that taking seatbelts out of the equation would result in the body ejecting but wouldn't that technically increase chances of survival?

I was hit from behind at 55 mph. My PT told me had I of been seat belted in my neck likely would've snapped, rather than the horrible double whiplash I had.

I don't think I came anywhere close to being ejected from the car, but my car seat did come off its runners. The car was totaled.
