When I was in the Army I only would have went along with it because of the peer pressure. Because you know you don't want to be seen as a free thinker/individual in a infantry company...because you know what happens to individuals? Individuals get put on medevac because they aren't team players. So do yourself a favor and go slam your head into something to prove your manliness.
