Well gee OP,
Sounds like the Army just isn't for someone as "delicate" as you are. You might break a nail. If you think bloodwings are bad at leaving scars, you should see what a bullet can do. Do us all a favor and and get your cup of hot cocoa and your coloring book, go back to your safe space and STFU buttercup...

When I was in the Army I only would have went along with it because of the peer pressure. Because you know you don't want to be seen as a free thinker/individual in a infantry company...because you know what happens to individuals? Individuals get put on medevac because they aren't team players. So do yourself a favor and go slam your head into something to prove your manliness.

You sound like a regular Bowe Bergdahl. If you were ever in the Army, it got just a bit better at doing its job the day you ETS'd
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 71587581

Bowe Bergdahl is the new "hitler" term for vets you and your ilk disagree with, lol. Like I haven't heard that one before, lol. You're such a little fool. Actually, sequestration made the Army a lot worse since I left, not to mention the Iraq War,lol.

Right, because you think men who injure each other by slapping needles into their chest are intelligent. Thanks for the compliment, lol.

This dumb ass thread had me shirtless, staring in the mirror, looking for scars that zont exist. If you develop scar tissue from two half inch punctures, there might be something wrong with ya. Know what dose leave scars? Fragmentation.

This thread actually has a deeper purpose that's already been proven by the responses. You all have a herd mentality. Your group think/peer pressure means you are sheep. Good little sheep slapping your badge needles into your chest so you get the applause of the group. Good little sheep, good...there, have a cookie while you're at it.

In the Navy they wrap your arm around a ships stanchion and line up to punch you in the arm.....squishing your bicep in between a fist and a steel upright, over and over when you get promoted. We get out pins punched in also.....only ours are on our collars, right over the collar bone. Its called "tacking on your crows".
The politically correct Navy doesn't allow it anymore, but sailors still do it. I was proud to have my crows tacked on every time I made rank....then lost rank.....then made rank again......It's called a TRADITION. And I'm sick of the new fruity stress card carrying, no balls having, gonorrhea pussy uber tolerant upper chain of command fucking up my Navy.

You don't even know anything about tradition. This wasn't a tradition until the 20th century. I think we can handle doing away with a tradition that hasn't been around that long and makes our armed forces look stupid. Another tradition I would like to do away with is about 90% of the military medals, if not all of them. Military Medals are "European" thing that really have no place in American Tradition. It was a Navy Cuck that got the medal of honor approved after it was turned down by the leading Army general.

There are historical accounts of Raf mosquito crews becoming blood brothers in cutting and bleeding joining wrists. A symbol of trust that you would shed your blood for your brother. A powerful act of commitment to one another in a high risk occupation where death was always with you.

It's considered a mark of honor, very small considering what you went through to get there, you are obviously a civilian, I don't expect you to understand
 Quoting: Blamelag

Having a hole scar in your chest the rest of your life is a mark of honor? According to you alone. I bet a lot of those guys aren't happy about having a hole scar in their chest from someone they probably didn't like who they only served a few years with in the military. Of course I understand, I just wouldn't consider a hole scar in my chest a mark of honor. You're one condescending SOB,lol.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 75035599

FUCK YOU CUCK!
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 75105136

I doubt any normal veteran 10 years after getting out of the service looks in the mirror and feels proud about two hole scars in their chest, lol. Wow look at those two hole scars...I'm soooo proud, lol.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 75035599

Probably not a "battle scar" they talk too much about;

"That? After training a guy punched me on my pin and it pierced my skin... No, mom, the pin didn't have the stopper things... Well it's sort of a tradition... I know it's stupid mom but I couldn't say so at the time... MOM, I couldn't have NOT let them do it... OK, whatever mom, you're the one who encouraged me to sign up to train to kill people... Fuck me? Go repent to Jesus you witch, I already did! No self-respecting parent would encourage their child to go kill people for money.. FUCK YOU for that, I love you and forgive you, but what the fuck were you thinking... Oh yeah, you really cared about me - you literally encouraged sending me off into the middle of a firefight and acted sad at the prospect of me dying. WTF?! I know plenty of people who didn't think killing people was a wise career choice... I guess you killing yourself from smoking and drinking kind of blurred the lines on whether or not it was ok for me to kill someone else... WHATEVER, mom, these are MY pin scars, NOT YOURS."

When did this "tradition" start, 1970? I think I'll go to farther back, smarter tradition. Another tradition I would like to go back to is not having medals such as the way it was during the revolutionary war. Most generals/admirals today are starting to look like clowns with all those ribbons and things pinned on their torso.

I know, they always go for the intellectual like me first. At first all they can do is demonizes me as you're doing. I want to get rid of military medals and now I've created an uproar, lol. You do know I'm basing what I'm saying on facts? The medal of honor was originally turned down because it was too "European". Then a Navy general got it into place and since then all we've seen is the medals explode into a frenzy of "pride" that has engulfed the entire torso of high ranking officers, lol. YOU KNOW I'M RIGHT!

You can't challenge the facts so you divert to name calling and other things, anything but the facts, lol. Hey are you going to go through the rest of your life being a sheep who goes along with peer pressure? You don't have to if you learn to research.

Listen here Mister Millennium. You cannot fathom the depths that others are willing to go. You are WHERE YOU ARE because of traditions and honors and men and women who came before you, and stand beside you now without you knowledge.

Would you like a medal? How about I pin it to this nice comfy pillow for you....

Some some tards started slapping wings on each other's chest during Vietnam or later and now it's "tradition". Screw that tradition! I want to go back to the real America where we don't have all these stupid little awards that aren't given out fairly. You know most of these medals are used for promotion points? It's how officers get promoted. So whoever kisses the most ass gets the more medals and gets to be generals/admirals butt buddy for life and get the cushy retirement. We need to drain the swamp and the military leadership has become apart of the political swamp in washington. You know it's true.

I know it gets a bit cold. Maybe you should look for work in private industry. Nobody's gonna slap any metal into you there.... In fact, you can excel in mediocrity to the point where someone may even put you for the cover story in "Almost" Magazine....

Re: Infantryman Piercing soldiers chests with CIB Badge?
siren2 When the Civil War started in 1861, the United States had no awards for military service although, in the Mexican-American War of 1846, there had been a Certificate of Merit but this had been discontinued. Toward the end of that first year of the war, a proposal was made for some recognition for conspicuous gallantry in action to be awarded but the commanding general of the army, Gen. Winfield Scott, did not like the idea. He thought it to be a European tradition and said no.

It was left to the Secretary of the Navy, Gideon Welles, to resurrect the idea for an award for valor and on Dec. 21, 1861, Abraham Lincoln signed the law creating the Navy Medal of Valor.siren2 wtfdoom deviltard

Leave it to Satan to turn killing people into a game with awards and prizes and money and benefits and, heck, a whole life-long career of thinking of how to kill people! Fame and sports and culture.

And they wonder why there's no peace....

It's so funny how people you disagree with you say they must have failed out of basic or call them "bowe berghdal"(the new "hitler"). You ever think maybe I'm a combat veteran that has a different opinion about things than you? Oh no that can't be because you must believe all of us are on the same page. There can't be a person who was honorably discharged, combat vet that says shit you hate, lol.
