I disagree with your first sentence. Very few have tried it. We have been obedient to the false church for a while, but very few have ever been truly faithful to the one God, and none of those who have have been disappointed.

Yes, what I meant by "We" was humans of Christian faith. I did have unprovoked glimpses of the Spiritual Realm and not only did it feel tremendously good and soothing, but it was also followed by welcome personality changes and gains of wisdom. It's been quite a long process and I had been living in constant dread my whole life for no reason, but the fear has been receding over the last few months, even though there is still a lot of confusion but I'm confident I will be made whole somehow eventually.
