My dad owned several businesses in MB in the 70s-80s and we'd live there in the spring-summer-some fall. Back then the only blacks you saw were the hotel cleaning folks...came by bus everyday, then someone had the bright idea to bus the 'young black folk' in so they could enjoy the beach.

First they only came on Saturday and only to the state park...the next year it was everyday and then they started coming to the pavilion.
