What about seeing it like this.

Every single person here contains the exact same substance (molecules) of past people. In our bodies today there are molecules that were once part of Jesus, Ceasar and even Hitler for that matter. Could Jesus be pointing out the fact that we are all one thing?

And, isn't the Universal food of every organism here, bread and water? So in a sense these are the body and blood of the Universe.
