Democrats will be demoralized once again tomorrow in the Georgia Special Election
Democrats sweat the details in Georgia special election

Party officials fear the potentially demoralizing effect of a defeat.

Democrats are closer than they ever could have imagined to winning a House seat in the Republican suburbs of Atlanta, and dealing a resounding blow to Donald Trump.

But they’re also gripped by anxiety about what happens if they fall short Tuesday.

A loss in Georgia’s special election here could leave the party demoralized, with little to show for all the furious organizing, fundraising, and spending in a handful of congressional special elections in the early months of the Trump administration. As a result, Democrats are now straining to throw everything they have at Georgia’s 6th Congressional District to push Jon Ossoff over the top against Republican Karen Handel, aiming to prove they can win the suburban districts that might pave the way to a House majority in 2018.

They're already spinning damage control. Their own internal polling would know what the results will be 24hrs out...

just like Hillary canceling the fireworks...they know.

Even if they DO squeak out a win it cost the Dems 23 MILLION dollars to win just ONE house seat..

Thats NO victory.

True. But they have thrown everything they have at winning this. They will just be inconsolable.

Geez! Well, they really appear to want a war. Silly little psychos, aren't they. The left wing nut-bags have been so busy out there spending all of their time and energy protesting, I think it's safe to say they haven't had a lot of time left over to spend at the target range. Can't say the same for the opposing team though. They really should be careful what they wish for. There will be no safe spaces in a civil war.

Their guy Jon Ossoff doesn't even live in the district. How the hell can they expect the voters to take the guy seriously? This is Georgia; not California.

Should they lose they will immediately shift into the same blame mode that was used for Hillary.

They'll blame Republican "gerrymandering" They'll blame Trumps climate of intimidation for the low black turn-out...whatever...doesn't matter...

The takeaway for EVERY democrat politician will be simple

2 BILLION couldn't get Hillary the Presidency

23 Million cant even get a house seat.

No amount of money thrown at elections works for Democrats anymore.

The party ITSELF is un-electable regardless of funding.

I've lived in this district for a long time and never saw anything like this election. Karen Handel was losing last week by a percentage outside the margin of error and tonight it's too close to call. Her grass roots game is spot on.

We've had people at our door every day asking us to get out and vote. Live calls from tthe local and national republican party and mailers every day. Early voting is breaking records for a special election and turnout tomorrow is also expected to be record breaking.
