Re: hashimotos disease
You can get naturally-derived thyroid medication from Thailand. Go look up the site Stop the Madness, it has some helpful information on thyroid problems.

You might find increasing vitamin D (D3), vitamin b12, and/or iron to be helpful. Start doing internet searches on those in relation to Hashimoto's and thyroid problems.

Naltrexone is used to stop people from dying when they overdose on opiates. Since when is it being used for other treatments?

Regarding Cannabis oil. Interstate commerce of a controlled substance is the biggie to avoid, and the 'stickiness' of those that do being RICO connected to anyone they deal with is a big deal. If you chose to use oil you must stay with local and organic.

Best is growing your own and making oil at home, legal-wse. Of course State laws vary. Few States will confiscate a property for 'manufacturing' one single plant and makng your own medicine, allowing no diversion to anyone else, especially minors. Growing and producing your own medicine allows you safeguards regarding purity, strain selection matching needs, titration, etc.as well.

Low THC means converting plain old ditch weed, most oil guys have never done this. This feral hemp grows everywhere hereabouts, despite everyone's best efforts at eradication and has since WWII and earlier. Wasn't always illegal, doncha know?

If you do go forth, keep written detailed notes. It will help your medical use and also for CYA legalism stuff. You have to be prepared to take it to court and win.

Re: hashimotos disease
Thank you, I will check into the diet. I do music therapy and stretch most nights and some reading before bed to help with stress. I will admit my stress is too high, every time I get any blood work done, doctors always tell me how high my cortisol levels are. I try to lower my stress but with my job, being a mom and married, I can't get away from it.

Thank you everyone! My husband just ordered sea kelp for me. I'll pick up juice tomorrow. I have enough B12 and China seeds for now. I'll slowly cut out caffeine and start getting more sleep at night. I am taking in some of everything you all have helped me with and I'll research some of the others. I can't thank you all enough! ❤❤❤
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 73826810

And for your stress, research a product called "Enzymatic Therapy, Fatigued to Fantastic Adrenal Stress-End". Start by taking one a day to see how you feel. It is wonderful, your adrenals will thank you, you will feel calmer and sleep better. This, plus kelp, plus ketogenic diet will help you immensely. As you research and learn, you will find out how you can take better care of yourself and your family.

Best to you.

It is used in an extremely low dose between 2 and 4 mg for many illnesses. Drug addiction treatments use from 50 + mg

Google LDN (Low Dose Naltrexone)Research.

Re: hashimotos disease
Hashimoto's as you know, is an autoimmune disorder. Your immune system is hyperactive due to some stimulus whether that be viral (HHV variant, EBV etc), long term use of some medication.. PPI or H2 antagonist drugs affecting gut flora for example and connecting on from that, H.Pylori infection for which they are universally prescribed.. etc. etc.
As with all the autoimmune disorders, the list of causative suspects is long and vague.

OP, I'm no doctor but have been down a similar path of futile doctor visits, medical tests, samples, scans... you name it, the whole 9 yards and with nothing resolved or even definitely diagnosed after more than 7 years, I looked at alternatives.

If you take just one piece of advice from this thread, please please try this:-

L-Lysine, at least 2000mg per day and up to 6000 or even 9000 if you feel like it.
Commonly available 1000mg tablets are very large and hard to swallow so take a small cup and put a couple of tablets in it. Pour enough hot water onto them to cover completely, then place in the fridge for a few hours to dissolve. They don't taste very nice but this makes it easier to eat them.

No danger of overdose since it's a simple food supplement available without prescription from health food outlets or online. It's also dirt cheap and widely available.
Persevere for a few weeks and I'm willing to bet that you see noticeable improvement of symptoms.

Good luck!

I really don't think i could do the keto diet. I can barley get any work done with my energy. I live on caffeine, I can't imagine not having any. I eat decently, I stay away from gluten and only eat 2 small meals a day. I drink tons of water and coffee. I don't exercise like I should but it takes so much effort just to stay awake. I don't know what to do. I've gained 15 pounds in 2 months...I don't eat much...why the he'll am I getting fat?! Why do I need 2 pots of coffee, sometimes a caffeine pill and vitamin B12 so much? I just want to be able to get things done.

It doesn't sound like you did any research about ketogenic way of eating. I recommend at least checking out a book from your local library called "Keto Clarity."

Then there are tons of YouTube videos out there about it, and one of the MAIN things about this way of eating is that is provides you with MORE ENERGY! Just check out Stephanie Keto Person on YouTube, and you will realize she is a little ball of energy, and she's been in Ketosis for 7+ years, and is 50 years old going on 30 years old, she looks amazing!

Getting your body to switch over to running on Ketones is actually a much more EFFICIENT source of energy! The body doesn't have to work so hard to convert the energy, and if you are ingesting more coconut oil, those have MCT's that your body uptakes immediately for energy! No work! Much more efficient! More energy!

And don't buy into that sugar industry-backed lie about how the brain "needs" carbs to work right. There is NO such thing as an essential carbohydrate! The body will use protein to create enough glucose for the brain. the body knows what it needs and is very good at creating it.

Re: hashimotos disease
I would suggest research on Lugol's iodine solution and possibly getting the book.

Iodine: Why You Need It, Why You Can’t Live Without It, 5th Edition and Salt Your Way To Health, 2nd Edition. These books can be found at my : www.drbrownstein.com

[link to hypothyroidmom.com]

I just recently started taking it (2 days ago) from some that I made and the results are amazing. I had carpal tunnel pain for the last 6 months...already gone.

My guess is you probably have too little iodine in your system. The RDA is about 150 micrograms I am taking somewhere around 50 mg per meal 3 times a day so it really is not dangerous...I think it is around 4 times less deadly than table salt.

This is NOT medical advice just a story about what I am doing. Do your own research and see what you find for yourself.

Iodine is essential, join the FB group "Iodine workshop" to learn how to do the protocol properly.

I know it is hard, but the coffee is working against you, a push, than a crash. Stressing your adrenals. When your body has the sleep and nutrients it needs it will be healthy, sickness is a result of your not having the nutrients you need, and we all are a bit different (DNA).

It is never as simple as one thing, take the time to educate yourself, read the "Iodine Crises by Lynn Farrow" it is easy to read and explains why we all are iodine deficient. Expect that most Doctors won't help you, all drugs have negative side effects. I hope you are not a vegan, nutrient dense foods are healing-- that is top of the food chain, beef, eggs, butter, hf

and whoever said drink apple juice-- "fructose is the worst kind of sugar" not healthy at all.

Re: hashimotos disease
Try a ketogenic diet.

High fat, moderate protein, very low carb.

Is curing MANY ailments that the Standard American Diet created...

My mother has Hashimotos, and I do not want to get it too. So I am getting off the SAD diet.

 Quoting: BleachedPink1111

Stay away from gluten-containing grains!!!!

Gluten has surface proteins that look a lot like the surface proteins on thyroid cells. This makes some folks' immune systems, which are sensitive to glutin (with or without symptoms), attack their thyroid.

This describes my symptoms exactly... What I would give for energy... Some days like today it's as if I'm living inside my body but I just cannot find the ignition key for the ignition I just can't turn my body's engine on enough to move around ...it's hard to describe

Re: hashimotos disease
Westhroid or Armoir thyroid, ground up pig thyroid. These have the active form of the hormone, T3, and the inactive, T4.

AVOID Symthroid which only has T4, tells your body everything's fine, no need to produce anything extra here... worse off than taking nothing.

[link to www.verywell.com (secure)]

Finding a doctor who knows that a decent level of T3 is critical, above website will help. Adrenals and iodine are apparently related and important too, you'll find info about supplements etc. plus a list of friendly doctors and good books at the site, one if memory serves "Is Your Thyroid Making You Fat".

This info was life-changing for me. Was barely able to get out of bed to the point of not being able to work for very long at a time. Got on 2.5-3 grains of Westhroid, lost 40 pounds and have held a job steadily for 15 yrs now.

Good luck, if you can't find a Dr. near you post back, will check the thread. They'll want to see you 2-3 times up front for tests, but then after that my doc for example will prescribe a year's worth at a time if Thyroid is all you're getting i.e., no controlled substance like Phentermine (2 month max then have to be seen again).

About doctors: last i researched the T3 business was NOT TAUGHT in medical school, like the fact that mercury is in vaccines isn't taught. Now this was 10+ years ago, but AFAIK they are STILL not teaching vaccine ingredients in medical school...best to go to one who's proactively interested in the subject.

See some good advice here, will read through to learn more thanks all
