Food options post Yellowstone disaster- post ideas

So,if Yellowstone erupts and the ash does block the sunlight for at least a year, how can the survivors thrive?

I have ideas that don't involve eating pets or other humans (not a way to restart) , and I bet others have as good and better ones.

I'll start:

Using car batteries to power led grow lights for microgreens and sprouts

Harnessing wind and motion (like stationary bikes on Gilligan's Island) to power an aerator and led lights for an aquaponics system for fish, prawns and greens with a bse farm

Growing multiple types of mushrooms and fungus

Stockpiling freeze dried meats, beans, fruits, vegetables, nuts, protein powders (and bars) and a machine to distill well water

Storing typical canned goods, medicines, herbs

Does anyone know how we can save bees and other beneficial insects? How can we be ready to restart?

I know realistically I will have to also hide this as best as possible and have weapons. I would welcome people, as I truly believe more people means more people to scavenge, protect, brainstorm and rebuild, but I think many will choose evil
