According to U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services data, 112,000 foreign born workers entered the country between the months of January and March in 2016. 137,000 have entered in 2017. Foreign workers enter the country by attaining one of an array of visas including H-1B, L-1, AH-2A, and H-2B visas. Trump campaigned against the H-1B visa, as it allows companies to pay workers operating under one less than American citizens. However, his ability to reform visa issuance is questionable. “The reality is, I don’t even think Trump runs that department yet,” H-1B expert John Miano told Breitbart Texas. “It’s ridiculous.” |
