So he rode more than 1,400 miles on a bike to listen to her donated heart, according to CBS News.

Conner hopped on his bike and ventured off from Madison, Wisconsin, down to Fort Lauderdale, Florida. He visited the Broward Health Medical Center, where his daughter’s heart, which had been donated, awaited him.

His daughter, Abbey, became an organ donor when she was 16.

She and her brother were found face down in a resort pool in Cancun last winter. When they were discovered, Abbey had suffered a brain injury too strong to recover from.
