In my rush to get to you that the news that Monsanto was brought to court, it was the International Tribunal that heard the complaints. The article is too long to post here, but here is, in part, the conclusion of the hearing judges:

"As we wrote last year, the Monsanto Tribunal judges were asked to consider six questions, referred to as the “Terms of Reference.” During two days of testimony, the judges heard from 28 witnesses (representing about 15 countries) on matters relating to the six questions.

On four of those questions—whether or not Monsanto violated the right to a healthy environment, right to food, right to health, and right to freedom of expression and academic research—the judges concluded in all cases that yes, Monsanto’s activities have violated all of those rights. (Detailed answers to all questions are included in the Advisory Opinion.)"

"Possibly—if ecocide were recognized as an international crime, under the Rome Statute. Because it isn’t, at least not yet, the judges could only add to existing calls for the International Law Commission to amend the Rome Statute to include ecocide on its list of international crimes."

Why should Congress wait for the Rome Statute be changed to include ecocide, and put Monsanto on trial for international crimes against humanity?

You're right. I thought about that after making the post. If it's sprayed all over the ground the roots will pull it into the plant. It can also be on the fruit or vegetable from the spraying just before harvest. But inside the fruit or vegetable is the bigger problem.

Bentonite is just short of miraculous. Add vinegar and turmeric and I think you are about as safe as you can get if you are buying food instead of raising it yourself.

The worst foods are the Roundup Ready foods which are sprayed right in the field. These are soy (in so many foods), canola (in oil that is used in restaurants as well as at home), sugar beets (sugar), corn (high fructose corn syrup), alfalfa, cotton, and sorghum.

Roundup Ready wheat is illegal in the US.

Then comes those which are grown in soil that has been sprayed prior to planting.

So if you avoid Roundup Ready foods, you are avoiding a major portion of the standard US diet. :-(
