Concealed Handgun recommendation
I am applying for my concealed handgun license, getting fingerprinted on Wednesday. Should have my license in about 60 days after that.

I would like to carry something easily concealed, with decent capacity, excellent reliability, excellent mechanical accuracy potential. Cost is not an issue.

I'm thinking Glock 19, H&K VP9SK, M&P 9c, or Sig P320.

I'm 5'9", 165# with a 30" waist, skinny guy. I will be carrying Appendix In the Waist Band (AIWB).
Holster recommendation along with the handgun is a plus.

Can't go wrong with a wheel gun! S&W .38sp +p airweight w/ crimson trace laser grip sites is a great gun for conceal carry. Lots of good single stack semi-auto's to choose from too. Go check out hickock45 or sootch's reviews on youtube.

Depends on how much you want to spend, what caliber you're comfortable with and other factors.
I carry a Glock42 .380 with a plus 2 extension with one in the pipe.
Some people don't want anything less than a 9mm for personal protection.
I also have a Ruger SR40 in my center console at all times.
Depends depends bro.

You will after a year or two carrying.

Everyone starts out with a large gun and eventually migrates down the line to smaller more comfortable guns.

Just is what it is.
Peace is a lie, there is only passion.
Through passion, I gain strength.
Through strength, I gain power.
Through power, I gain victory.
Through victory, my chains are broken.

Oh I see, you're new to Conceal and Carry and have a small dick syndrome so you need a big gun to compensate.

Get a .500 S&W Magnum then. Good Luck, don't shoot your eye out kid!

a good wheel-gun is hard to beat but a

would work for a small frame guy.

sig p320 compact is a good choice but i recommend going to your local range and renting diifferent firearms so you can answer the question for yourself . Glock and Sig are always great options.

No shit in LA the PD description in the getto now includes the color of the perp's underwear.

I really like the 5 shot hammerless S&W revolver in .38, but my son carries a S&W M&P shield in 9mm and loves it. I think it comes down what you prefer but either one is a great carry gun.

Re: Concealed Handgun recommendation
I've carried for 13 years now.... the first 3 years or 4 I went from:
45 glock
45 chiefs special
45 single stack glock
9mm glock
.380 PPK
In every carry method you can imagine... IWB, belly band, OWB, all around and every which way... even had a pagerpal.
Still have a box full of holsters.

Finally got an Airweight .38 special, in a front pocket carry holster, never looked back.

They just kept getting smaller and smaller.

Not bad - the Ruger LCP II is good as well.

OP - first question, what is your budget? You have to start there before anything. Don't forget total cost of ownership - you need a good holster, a few 100 rounds of target ammo and a high quality carry ammo - the best you can afford because god-forbid you ever have to use it in self-defense, you want those precious rounds to inflict some serious stopping in the tracks.

Re: Concealed Handgun recommendation
I am a big fan of the Sig P238. It is small, easy to rack, easy to conceal, and best of all (ok, I'm old school..not looking for a p--sing contest about this) it has a mechanical safety. The belt holster it came with is fine during cold months but in warm weather a front pocket holster works well and hides the outline in your pocket. Best thing I did was find a local range that rents, for $20 apiece and cost of ammo, over time, I tried the Sig, the Bodyguard, LCP, and a couple others. I liked the Sig the best. The range credited my rental fee towards the purchase later on.
