The cycles themselves refer to swarming of them every 7 years. There are cicadas all the time in their season, in other words. Their large swarm cycle happens about every 7 years. I'm in Florida. It's 11:20 am and I hear a few outside right now. I hear them most days all the time. You'll know it's the peak of their cycle when there are thousands of them sitting on everything and the sound is maddening. A quick Google search can make the world around you less confusing. It's the Alexandria library in the palm of your hand. I didn't mean to do that...or did I? |
