Jenny222 (OP) User ID: 72570708 Canada 06/27/2017 03:11 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Bentonite clay has lead in it. Don't use it. NO amount of lead is recommended for human consumption. Zero. None. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 74735628 Don't believe me? Look it up. There are all kinds of consumer reports regarding bentonite clay and lead. From what I read it is small amounts, all I know is I use it to brush my teeth and they were instantly whiter and my mouth felt clean all day. I think I will take my chances with the lead instead of the fluoride. However I am spitting it out. I'm pretty healthy so I don't think I will injest it. You can buy food grade clay, that's what I got for teeth. |

Well , here's what I just learned. mix bentonite in together with your soap. I use Sodium bentonite so I dont know how that will change things, and I basically stick to sodium bentonite. But when trying to find a bar of soap that has it, there's no differentiation so it will most likely be calcium bentonite. It may not matter though when it is in soap though, esp as Bar soap. As for liquid soap though since it uses potassium lye (normally) then I use sodium bentonite... And some citric acid and/or vinegar also seems to help together with the bentonite clay. |

I have to find another way though, that doesnt use clay. Maybe sea salt but there still seems to be a limit to this as salt has a lot of chloride... |
