To seek fault in the holy bible scriptures so that you don't have to believe or hear what perfect love is... is evil.

If you were focused on love and see the works Jesus did then you wouldn't see faults but you would see the truth in works of perfect love.

If you are focused on looking for faults that cannot be proved one way or the other you are missing the point of the scriptures.

We hear what love is and we seek that. As far as the miracles go... we have to put faith in God for that. To know how a snake or donkey talked isn't what is important. What is important is to know how to love. Because love doesn't destroy things, including governments and life, evil destroys so nothing ever lasts.

Jesus is everlasting kingdom and life.

It's shouldn't always be about emotion and never the intellect.

You need both heart and mind to live, not just the heart.

There is nothing wrong with intellectually challenging scripture. In fact, it's a plus.

And when you can reconcile the intellectual with the emotional as presented in scripture, tough as it might be, you start to see things in a new light.... And who created Light?

Seeing the Light is an intellectual process, not an emotional one. Love is not the be-all-and-end-all. Understanding love is.

Is that what you tell yourself to keep hold of that security blanket of nonsense or are you just that intellectually handicapped?

Exactly, OP! When a person reads the Bible, they should just put all rational thought out of their minds and just absorb the brainwashing. They'll be tithing in no time!

God said that the people who believe and receive his Holy Spirit are the church, so there is no need to go anywhere to have a relationship with a God who is everywhere.

God also makes it clear that tithing is in the form of food, and Jesus never instituted money into his people's society. That is why he said give to the world what belong to the world (my paraphrase), and to God what belongs to God. He tells us to feed the poor, and do good acts and acts of kindness towards others.

Sorry that churchianity screwed you up, but you screw yourself even more the longer you choose to run away from what is good to embrace your own evil deeds. Because you no longer see a line of morality you have no way of believing that you are on the wrong side of it. And then you can't return to the good side of it because it seems evil to you to live by the rules of a good God. You want to be your own god and live by your own rules and not be bound to righteousness. You want what you want when you want it no matter the consequences.

Sound like you?

That's about purity. God made covenants (promises) in blood, like making a blood oath or becoming "blood brothers". He also forgave sins with blood and without blood could there be no forgiveness of sins. The fact that God died in bodily form is on record forever, and claiming that he, Jesus, atoned for our sins we can seek God's forgiveness directly as much forgiveness as we need to feel justified (made right) without making another blood sacrifice.

So the specific laws God made towards the purity of blood was symbolic and a foreshadowing of himself. This is why Jesus said he fulfills the law and prophets and that the prophets spoke of him - everything revolves around God - or at least it should. In doing what he did (of course he didn't have to) he gave me a reason to worship him and love him, and even more important in my eyes, to know him. Without knowing him, how could I worship (obey) him? And without worshiping him, how could I love him (serve him of my own free will and desire)?

If someone were to mess with your children would you kill them? Most GLPers say yes. They must be as crazy as God....

To not research the true history of what was happening around the times of the bible is sheer stupidity
