OP, I believe there were dragons and we will find evidence. Actually, there is a book out with drawn specimens of dragons that noone believes is authentic. You should see it.

the way dragons were percieved in old drawings/paintings were that they were a combination of all main animals. Serpent body, Lion head, and wings. encompassed the main parts of major animals...i think it was "mythical" and its meaning may not be known

Tell me, where were the sterile "clean room" conditions? Why was the creature not kept in freezing conditions to keep it so perfectly preserved as not to decay upon contact with the open room temperate air?
For God's sake it was filmed in a dirty old warehouse with the thing lying on the floor with a piece of plastic thrown over it. The so called "scientists" were dressed in everyday clothes with an opened white coat draped over them. One was even wearing make up for Christ sake.
If this were a REAL scientific lab study you would have seen complete sterile conditions, with the scientists covered head to toe in protective gear at all times. An unknown creature preserved in ice for centuries could pose any number of health risks to the people dissecting and studying it.

If you had read all my comments yesterday, you would have seen that I apologised for my insensitivity in the matter after someone told me they were sensitive to gore.

And I also gave them the same talk about communicating exactly what irritated them about the zombie thing in a clear concise manner instead of insulting the mods off the bat without providing more of a reason then "it's not funny".

At first posters simply stated, without curse words, that they didn't find the whole Zombie shtick funny and thought it was lame. They were told to shut the fuck up and were condescendingly told they didn't have a sense of humor. It escalated from there. The mods did plenty to add fuel to the fight which went on yesterday. Don't bother trying to paint the mods out to be paragons of virtue who were unfairly attacked.

You're missing the point. No one's suggesting that dragon's may never have existed. With every myth there is a grain of truth. With so many cultures in the ancient world having stories of these creatures yet never having crossed one another's path, is an interesting idea to ponder.

The OP is talking about a television show depicting itself as an actual documentary of the discovery of a real dragon's carcass frozen in an ice cave, and subsequent scientific tests.

I watched the program, at the same time the OP did. It was CLEARLY NOT a documentary, but a mockumentary. A dramatization exploring an idea as if it were real.

It took the premise of these ancient myths from different cultures, and ran with it projecting what if's and maybe's, exploring the ideas as a real time dramatization. The OP fell for it's style as being a factual event.

Dragons were real its even in the Bible. whether they breathed fire or not is one thing, but there was such a creature, there was also Godzilla and the Thing too. Not to mention Johnny Soko and Ultraman. They were all real, really.

I'm not perfect and I do my best to be a good person. I screw up and I become insensitive and do not follow through. The good things I talk about are the things I admire and try to incorporate into my personality. Again, I fall short of my goal at times. I'm sorry I can't be perfect like everyone expects me to be. *EDIT* actually, you may be right about the mods swearing. I don't remember it and only remember people saying they didn't have a sense of humor. Which, I didn't think was fair since people do have different ideas of humor.

But I didn't understand why people were so upset about it. They didn't have to read the zombie threads if they didn't want to.

It wasn't till later that evening when someone finally told me that people didn't like the gore that I finally understood why everyone was so upset. And then I apologised for being so insensitive. So, again, I'm sorry for being so insensitive and sounding hypocritical. I'm trying to learn from my mistakes. I'm not perfect.
