Taking the family camping... in my FedEx truck!
Yeah that's right. I get to take the van home with me each day after my shift anyways, so why not? They don't check the mileage. I decided that for the 4th of July I would take my wife and kids to a campsite at a lake, only about 15 miles from here. We don't have a tent but I figured the van would be perfect. I've considered living in it in the past... using it as a means of bugging out in the event of an emergency. I have already rigged up a makeshift toilet, sleeping and seating area. I hope to have refrigeration soon.

The campsite is 15 bucks a night. If this works out well I am going to do it again soon.

+1 to you OP!

At least you don't have to worry about bed bugs.

But look. Don't be surprised if a fellow scantily clad camper asks if you can handle their package!

Question: On a country drive, should the car in front of you pull over or speed up?

Hopefully no nosy camper calls up FedEx and asks, why it looks like a family is living out of one their trucks. :/

Maybe they truly don't mind. That would be kind of cool

No one has ever given me a hard time. We're just loading it up with some items for the antique store/goodwill... then we're heading out for a few days.

I'm actually hoping to trade some items for camping food. Or even a whole pig if possible.
