We are the only country, that I know of, (if anti e knows different please educate me) where the architects of their legal existence, insisted that the citizens were armed. There was a reason for that. So yes we have a gun crime rate. There is always room for wrongful use.

But it is what guarantees that we will never be lead by tyranny. Or have a takeover like what we see in London. The truth is that murder rates would probably drop if it was mandatory for everyone to carry a gun. Criminals are very brave if they kniw they are the only o as in the room with a gun. They always try to conflate the suicides into the numbers to inflate the stats, but the reality is that the US suicide rate is about average compared to industrialized nations. Japan and South Korea are FAR worse. Most of Eastern and central Europe is worse. France and Belgium are worse and Germany is about the same.

I don't care if the numbers were truly lower. I'm not part of the herd. If my loved one is murdered because I have no gun to protect them it will not console me that the national murder rate is lower. I will be registered that I could t save their life. I don't need elected officials or other inhabitants of the planet to tell me that I can't protect my family. Screw you and statistics. My family is more important to me then every single murder victim from the beginning of time. I believe that the lower murder rates can be attributed to factors other than gun control. Many places with lower rates of murder and other crimes, for example, have higher numbers of stable families and fewer gangs.

And they like to include JUSTIFIED self defense as a homicide. A homicide is one human killing another, nothing more. A murder is a homicide with malice aforethought.
