That said, my wife works at a grocery store and all military reserve employed at the stores in the region have been called to active duty. They can't hire anybody to replace them since that is a perk for the reserve members working there, so her store has been stretched then for the past 2 weeks now.

I wish this was a tease. It isn't. From my own family and friends circle- one is leaving next week, two others may be activated, with several currently serving in the military being told to be ready to leave on short notice ( a very dear and close friend has been told to make sure everything is in order at home, as he might leave on a very short notice). All of these folks were told within the last couple of weeks- I am not sure about others on here as to whether they have family/friends that were told the same. The one leaving wasn't given much time (he's obviously serving currently in the military). It's upsetting his wife and son, as they have no idea where he is going and for how long.

As far as "time frame"- nothing has been given at the moment, but there are multiple call ups leaving in this area, and I am sure if you talk to military folks or their family members around your areas, you will hear that many military from your bases are either already deployed or have been told they're going. We had several troops leave this area the past week and a half with more to go. I don't know anyone in our area other than the one leaving next week.

As someone who actually has family members in the military , I know the rules.

A family member wouldn't tell you about any military action, because it could get them in big trouble.

Your "family member" would have also explained that.

Secondly, anyone who had been told this, wouldn't be dumb enough to go into an internet forum and post hints at possible actions.

The thing is, some are not being told where they're going, so that family and friends can't tell where this is going on. This is not a wait and see, it is happening for sure. Someone close to one of my kids was called to go, but is not being told where for safety reasons.

Zedakah- may I ask what area you are from? East or West coast, or mid states? I don't need to know your exact area, I'm just curious if we're from the same area. Lots and lots of military leaving in New England area.
