Roman Catholicism was the result of the Roman Empire taking control of part of the institutional church and stuffing it as full of paganism as they could starting in the 4th century.

The Catholic institution was used as a political instrument of oppression and evil for centuries.

Please don't confuse Catholicism with true Christianity.
