A good time to think about cheap preps for EMP:

Put older, obsolete laptops, phones, radios, etc. into a box. Cover with aluminum foil. Cover foil with insulating paper. Put all preps into a metal trash can with lid.

Back up all essential computer file on M-disc or paper files. This is a prudent step against cyber attack as well.

In the event of actual EMP, I think that our people will quickly innovate. Older engines and vehicles will still work.

There is plenty of grain to feed the population if it is not fed to livestock. Old trucks and tractors can haul it to the cities if necessary.

As for the scenario, while an EMP attack coupled with sabotage of infrastructure coupled with bio or chem attacks by agents is possible, the logistics of trying a land invasion from the North are impossible.

Imagine trying to slog through Alaska and Canada constantly losing troops to snipers, mines, booby traps, etc. with no food or ammo resupply.
