Re: RIP Martin Landau
When my father was in his late 30's he worked on John Waynes movie ranch in Tucson.

My mother was 19 at the time and worked with the other wives on the catering line. Martin landau had a crush on her, she was very pretty. Everyone on the set knew, but my mom.

One day, he asks her what her favorite perfume is, being a young girl she says Channel #5. The next day he brings her a very big bottle of Channel #5. She is so excited and grateful.

My father gets home from training horses, and drinking with some of the cast/ranch hands, and sees the bottle. He knows who gave it to her and he gets jealous and smashes the bottle against the living room wall of their tiny bungalow.

The joke was on him, for two years he had to smell Channel #5 because it never came out of the wall. He hated that perfume and years later, after they divorced, my mom would wear it on purpose for family gatherings, just to piss him off.

R.I.P. Mr. Landau, my mother still holds a candle in her heart for you. hf
