Truth is in plain sight, yet nobody dares to see it, that's how the matrix works. Religion is just one of its tools. Somehow nobody seems to have noticed there is something wrong with the fact that 'Adam and eve' got punished for the apple, in other words they got punished for their desire for truth/knowledge. It's just so painfully obvious, what it means - you're not supposed to learn the truth/knowledge. Free people have no religion, only knowledge - vieda. You don't need fancy sci-fi equipment to keep people in the matrix, mind-control tested over centuries is better.
