Cat doom. No kill shelters are full, what to do? | |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 70663772 United States 07/17/2017 12:41 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | What the fuck does this post have to do with the question from the OP? Quoting: Oaken Paw Fucking moron.... Kind of an ironic post, eh? Along with Craigslist, OP, you could ask at local pet stores if they would allow you to put up adoption fliers for your cat with your contact info. Could also ask at any nearby retirement homes that are pet friendly if they would allow you to post fliers. Lonely old folks tend to appreciate older cats over kittens for a companion ;) |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 70415687 United States 07/17/2017 12:44 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | in 2 years you haven't figured anything out. you're a retard. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 74642125 retards shouldn't own pets, they can't take care of themselves. here retard. Go get an apartment that allows pets. There, took me a minute and after 2 years you couldn't figure this out. This. DO NOT drop it off in the 'wilderness'. It's cruel to drop a cat off in the wilderness when it is use to being taken care of, to face predators, lack of food, rain, cold, etc. Better to put it out of it's misery where it will not feel pain and fear. This is not to mention that if you drop it off in 'the wilderness', it will most likely wander to a home and someone else will have to deal with your lack of responsibility and will take it to the shelter, anyway. Edit to add: YOU ARE AN ASSHOLE! Hey dick, did you miss the part where I said I took her in as a stray back when I was able to? I was nice enough to help her when I could, it's not like I actively went out and sought a pet I couldn't take care of or afford. I just let her in, which I didn't have to do but I did so you can go fuck yourself. Also< I was mostly being facetious about dropping her off in the woods but it has crossed my mind because it would suck to see her put down. No, you weren't being facetious...you said you had two options and wanted our opinion. That was the point of the thread, right? So you took the cat in, took on the responsibility, and now you are going to dump it in the woods like someone did to you? |

goodwillgal User ID: 72383605 United States 07/17/2017 12:51 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | do NOT drop the cat off !! i took care of a feral colony for years, down to 2 outside 'fixed' cats now. when you drop off a cat they will look for a colony to join, they smell the urine scents. they have to fight their way into the colony, as the colony wants to protect their food source. they face all type of weather and live a hard life. there are many organizations that help with this sort of problem. do some research you will find them. best of luck. goodwillgal |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 75242192 United States 07/17/2017 01:14 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Thanks everyone, I think I might try letting her run the neighborhood because sneaking her in or relocating atm isn't an option. If that doesn't work out a shelter is the only realistic option. My mom hates cats with a passion and there are already a handful of strays that come out of the woods they are dealing with. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 71189241 are you for real ? you can't sneak a cat IN ? ..................troll |
TenStar'd User ID: 74607441 United States 07/17/2017 01:19 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Call all of the area animal control officers. Call every town in a fifty five mile radius. They are a great source of contact. There are plenty of no kill shelters that have the resources to place her eventually. Keep her in your apartment while you search. Have a heart, pray for God's guidance, and the right home for her will come. Peace. God does not test us, He strengthens us. For if we are fully in Faith, He girds the armor evermore. |
